@@RandomDoodlesIDo I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they change the names again at some point, considering I don’t think they’d really planned to answer the Q&A question of what the cats’ names were, because it felt like Sun just made the names up on the spot and stalled _a lot_ before answering- Also the fact that ages ago in a fanart reaction video, Nexus (at that point, Moon) said one of the cats was called Tux. Obviously they either forgot about that or decided to change it.

@@BoxOKittens I specifically remember Moon calling the black and white cat tux when they were reacting to some fanart (I think it was around Christmas) that had the cats in it, because Sun was saying how his cats weren’t the right colours, and Moon saying that it _was_ the right colours for Tux. I don’t remember them mentioning a previous name for the other cat, but I have missed an episode or two in the past so I probably missed something. For the other episodes I do remember though, they never really spoke about the other one because up to a certain point, they’d only been using one model, so we’d never _seen_ the other one.

In my expereince gay/yaoi ships tend to be written much better and often focus alot on the build up where often (tho not always) straight ships are often bland and full of red flags. It's sweet to see these two interact more, even with poor Moon being awkward lol it does make my heart ache though because nexus and earth used to be such a united duo. in the beginning they were both new to everything, and they were united in trying to help sun since he was going through a lot back then. they just felt like such a close pair, and then it all crashed down when nexus tried to kill her. it still kinda devastates me. I wonder if nexus ever thinks back on those days when he and earth were a team, cracking jokes and discovering the world together.
