Merci beaucoup! When I went up the iconic Eiffel Tower many moons ago, the main restaurant was closed! I did have a crepe grand marnier with granulated sugar on the second level! Will never forget the elevator rides and those huge wheels that pulled the elevator up and down! Was so much fun, I went up twice! Paris was so beautiful and so clean at the time you could eat off the streets! At night, all lit up it reminded me of a bubbling glass of champagne while on the Bateau Mouches, the boat down the Seine River! One of the most beautiful cities in the world! J'taime Paris!

Thanks 👍 No that's correct, but you can only use the stairs from the first to the second level, not the lift.

Could you please take some time to show us which areas around the Eiffel Tower are going to be completely closed in May for the upcoming Olympics? We are visiting Paris at the end of May and are really curious to know how much of the jardin, the rues around and the trocadero would be completely closed to public access in May. Thanks again.

Apart for the places where they are building specific gathering places for the Olympic Games, as on the Place Jacques Rueff, in the middle of the Champs de Mars, most of the areas will be open. Parisians would not love to be prevented from traveleing or walking so long before the OG.

Try "Le Bouchon Parisien" at 28 avenue de Suffren or "La Fontaine de Mars" at 129, rue Saint-Dominique.If the second one only has snails, the first one offer both treats, and they are both good typical French restaurants.
