Recipe: Cheat's Jam Pop Tarts with Pink Icing
Ingredients:
2 Warburtons Gluten-Free White Wraps
4-6 tablespoons of your favorite jam
1 egg (for egg wash)
1/2 cup icing sugar
1-2 teaspoons milk
A few drops of pink food coloring
Optional: sprinkles for decoration
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Prepare the wraps:
Take one Warburtons gluten-free white wrap and cut it from a circle into a square.
Divide the square into four smaller squares by cutting horizontally and vertically.
Assemble the pop tarts:
Spoon about 1 teaspoon of jam into the center of each square.
Beat the egg to create an egg wash. Brush the edges of each square lightly with the egg wash.
Place another square of wrap over the jam-filled square and gently press the edges to seal.
Seal and bake:
Use a fork to crimp the edges of each pop tart, ensuring they are well sealed.
Place the pop tarts on the prepared baking tray, brush the tops with more egg wash, and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
Prepare the icing:
While the pop tarts are baking, mix the icing sugar with milk in a small bowl until smooth.
Add a few drops of pink food coloring to achieve your desired shade of pink.
Once the pop tarts are baked and cooled slightly, drizzle the pink icing over the top.
Decorate and serve:
Optionally, add sprinkles over the icing for a fun finish.
Allow the icing to set before serving.
Enjoy these fun and colorful gluten-free cheat’s jam pop tarts, perfect for a sweet treat!
