I'm sorry this happened to her. The UK is obligated to provide her accommodation and feeding until her last born is 16. It's in the constitution, she just needs the right lawyer to fight for her. I was in the same situation. Thank God for public law project. They took my council back to the right section in the constitution and I was provided with accommodation and money to feed my children until I was able to get my leave to remain.

This is not adding up at all. How big is the bin, that a three years old entered and could not cry or shout out for help. Let's assume she jumped into it, who then covered the been, or was it left open that no one could see or hear her shout. Where is the been located? Inside or outside the house? I think people coming from abroad should research their rights as a parent before moving abroad. They are not entitled to public funds and accommodation which clearly states in the application process but they sometimes think once they enter the country things must change for them. Until they are fully settled and entitled to accommodation they should be very careful before having kids. It’s not fair on the innocent children and this country is short on housing. This is a heartbreaking story but surely lessons learnt.

This carer killed the 2 year older and dumped her body into the wheelie bin and must be proved innocent beyond reasonable doubt. The father is to blame for the death of his daughter,the mother was traumatised,but must have acted in the best interest of her kids by involving the social services in the case.The council was racist,whilest the mother did not qualify for no recourse to public fund,the 2 kids qualified.

The mother under no circumstances should ignore the childs father unless he was nowhere to be found. Any woman going through such a predicament, i think should involve a family member. If there is no family member, then the health authorities for support in terms of child care during the period of the surgery.

Well,in My opinion the two women ( Mother & Career)should be hold responsible and charged at the court of law criminally.. In the US that's how they would carry out the incident. Mother will be charged with child negligence and would be a toss up of ether jail time or probation but the career will be charged with involuntary Manslaughter and criminal negligence that will land her 1~5 yrs in jail

In hindsight I believe it must have been a bitter separation, that’s why the lady didn’t take the child to the father. Most separation and divorce are toxic so much that one of the parents may want to take total custody of the children leaving the other parent out of the children life. It’s sad, this should be a lesson for couples separated with children. Always make sure that both share co parenting.

I think that the responsibility lies with the mother and the carer who has been totally negligent and should not have taken on the care of this child if she didn’t want to. As for social services if they were fully aware of what was going on then it is a complete joke and an abomination because they should have known better. I would sue Newham Council for their part in this tragic situation because by law they had a duty to provide suitable accommodation in cases such as this.
