I get that youtubers can simply do other things, like start a business, if they want to. That‘s fine. It‘s just that all the branding revolves around their youtube channel while the brand has nothing to do with it. Prime is in the middle, where the channel promotes the item, but the item is mostly standalone, even if it‘s obv associated with the channel. FireDepartmentCoffee is good, being a spinoff channel of FireDepartmentChronicles and a fundraiser for firefighters. Feastables are just weird, because the channel promotes the item, but the item entirely relies on the channel as its branding, while the channel has nothing to do with the substance of the item. Lockpicking lawyer does lockpicks because he picks locks on his channel, but MrBeast does challenge videos and sells candy? Sorry for the rant, just had to put a finger on what I find feels off about it.

Why does nobody seem to know what electrolytes actually are All this marketing makes you think electrolytes are some sort of healthy ingredient. Mr. Beast uses language like “More electrolytes,” spinning this as a selling point over the competition. Electrolytes are just SALTS. In a well formulated energy drink (like any of Prime’s competitors), it uses the same composition of salts that are in sweat, so that you can replenish them after intense exercise. More electrolytes is not more better, it needs to be the same as your sweat, that’s kind of the whole point. And there’s absolutely no point to drinking a sports drink when you’re sitting down in a cafeteria in the middle of a sedentary school day. In that case, it’s just extra sugar and salt that this meal already has too much of.

Lunchly is not "less processed", it allegedly has less calories and sugar. That doesn't mean its "less processed" than lunchables. The degree to which food is considered to be "processed" depends on how altered it is from its original raw ingredients, and Ultra Processed food is food that cannot be cooked in the home kitchen because it requires industrial equipment to manufacture. Lunchly would fall under the category of "ultra processed foods".

Some of the most common unprocessed foods are fresh fruits and vegetables, which are very good for you. So you can see why theres the general perception that less/non processed foods are healthy and processed/ultra processed foods are unhealthy, even if that isn't the case 100% of the time. For example: Fresh Dates are an unprocessed food, but are unhealthy because of their high sugar level, and excess consumption of them can lead to health problems, as if they were an Ultra Processed candy.

At the risk of sounding like a boomer, I've been watching KZbin longer than I've had my account (which I made in 2009), so I've seen this website in almost all of its incarnations. What I miss the most is the genuineness of the platform. KZbin used to have a slogan: broadcast yourself. To me, it embodied the early KZbin mythos of some random person recording themselves on a camera and doing whatever. Nowadays everything is way too corporate. It's not about making videos for fun anymore. It's all about appeasing the almighty algorithm and getting as many views as you can. Everyone is competing for our attention, and they're trying to grab it in the most obnoxious ways possible. KZbin has clearly shown preferential treatment to these big content creators, as well. All to appease advertisers and shareholders. It gets so tiring, man.

I rarely catch up with what's going on on Twitter, but seeing DanTDM speak up about what Mr. Beast is doing by falsely marketing Lunchly as "healthy" just shows why he is the *GOAT* ! As a father himself, he definitely cares about these things and it makes me proud to still be subbed and watching his channel to this very day. He never stopped taking care of us, even after we grew out of our childhood.
