Boat looks great...I looked at the legend 16' wide body but I like the walk through seat and drop in floor on the Lund, I plan to install the seats, thanks for the great video and ideas...cheers from Ontario, Paul.

do you know what type of wood is used for the benches in that Lund? I have a similar Lund that I'm restoring and would like to put that same type in

Hey Slee. Where did you get the navigation light? It has a Scotty base but it does not look like the Scotty Navigation light on their website.

Are the seat bases threaded? Can I use non threaded post with threaded seat bases? I got my ssv16 last week and went amazon crazy so I just hope what I ordered will work
@shuswapoutdoors6 жыл бұрын
nope, the seat bases are not threaded, just a straight post
@kykirker6 жыл бұрын
okay thanks for the reply. I found out that the treaded bases will work with non threaded post they just wont lock obviously. I drilled my first big hole tonight for my drivers seat in the boat. I went with the same kind of seats as you did and like them a lot.

How do you like your seat mounts, are the springs removable/to high? I just bought seats and I'm looking into mounting options.
@shuswapoutdoors7 жыл бұрын
Mounts have been great and the extra hight from the spring is perfect for the average person.

Did you screw or use a nut/bolt to secure the base on the front bench?

Did the exact same with my rod holders in 2015 on my SSV.

Looks good. What kind of performance are you getting with the 30hp Mercury? What prop are you using?
@shuswapoutdoors7 жыл бұрын
28-29mph with a 4 blade Merc spitfire 9.3 x 11P. I'm happy with it up to 3 adults, but add the 4th and I with I had a 40 or 50hp on it. Still does 25mp with 4 but the boat could handle a few more hp with that weight.

I have the same boat with a DF25A Suzuki (boat and motor are 2015) and with the stock 3x10.25x10 pitch it gets onto the plane very quickly, does 22mph and does not hit the rev limiter. The Suzuki does have 2.09 gear ratio vs 1.92 on the Mercury so that would equate to an even finer pitch. I ordered a Tiny Tach and will be checking the rpm soon as I should be able to hit a higher speed. I've also ordered a couple of different props to test. At any rate, you have done a really nice job with your boat and I will probably steal some of your ideas!

Thanks, I will be uploading a new video soon to show the finished boat. Upgraded a couple things and added some new stuff as well.

Why did you go kingpin vs spring-lock?
@shuswapoutdoors7 жыл бұрын
No reason other then it was the only seat base that I could get. Not the best selection where I'm from. I wish I was able to get it all in SS as the black pained one is already rusting a bit.

what is the black mount used for beside the light?
