As an Italian I have to raise my glass to you. I know there are a lot of people that love macaroni and cheese and yes it is very difficult to do this when you are on keto. Gluten flour in my spaghetti maker but I don't have an extruder like that. Cool machine and great idea drying them. Keep up the good work.

I made this today. I’m soooooo happy it worked. I did have to fiddle with the pasta machine to help the dough come through into the chamber a bit, but other than that, it’s a complete success. Currently have the pasta in my dehydrator. Thank you for this recipe. ❤️

I believe I figured out why my pasta failed. The non-semolina recipe on your website states: 1/2 cup plus 1/3 cup lupin flour. On KZbin your recipe for the non-semolina flour states: 1/2 cup. I will try once again. Thank you again for all your hard work at presenting your recipes.

I believe the difference is one recipe has lupin flour as well as lupin semolina, and other recipe only has lupine flour. So it has more lupin flour to make up for the difference. I may be wrong, but I think that's what the difference is.

I tried the non-semolina recipe. The total grams of lupin flour and vital wheat combined weighs 180 grams. The combined weight of the semolina flour recipe is 210. Yet both recipes use 3 ounces of water.

Hi Whiterose! Sorry I’m just now seeing this. When I make my paste, I dry it in the dehydrator until completely dry then store it in a bag with an oxygen absorber packet and mine have kept for a couple of months and still tasted fine. I hope this helps. 🥰

So the water measurements should be in ml, not grams...our machine calls for 95 ml of water/egg mixture per cup of flour which this recipe is 11/2 cups when you add it all up so that's about 140 ml of liquid...I used pea protein in place of lupin semolina since mine is still enrout from Australia...macaroni in dehydrator now!!! Love the Phillip's pasta machine..

Hi! No they are not the same thing. Lupin flour is just that, a flour. However, Lupin Semolina has a very fine course grain to it. Sort of like cornmeal but a little finer.
Samyah, will this macaroni/penne noodles work.......as those popular regular fried macaroni chips? There is a popular treat on youtube where you cook your macaroni/penne in a chicken broth with spices, drain and dry out ...then flash deep fry them. They swell in the oil and become a crispy crunchy treat. That would be cool for those of us with a crunchy snack tooth.

I think the reason for the pasta to fall apart is that the vital wheat gluten did not have enough time to fully develope.

Sorry, I tried the recipe for lupin semolina flour. Took me a while to make this. The dough would break when I passed it through machine. Finally, finished and tried to cook it. I was disappointed, I'm sure I did something wrong. It all went into the trash. I was soooo hoping it would taste ok.
