Thanks for the video Cal. I always enjoy them. As a previously land-locked fisher I was shocked by a few dodgy moments on the rocks in my first year of bass hunting (not so much catching). I’m seriously contemplating getting a life jacket for next year. Do you ever think of wearing one. Those swells make me nervous. 😬

I always wear one unless im fishing a shallow estuary hope it never happens but all it takes is one slip especially if your standing over deep water.

Cheers mate. Yeah, ideally you’d want to be wearing a life jacket. I’ve thought about it but never decided to actually buy one. I don’t tend to put myself in seriously dangerous situations much anyway. I know all it takes is a simple mistake and something could go wrong. No one wants to be in the water during the colder months so having some form of buoyancy aid is definitely a sensible idea.

I love that reel mate. Very nice to use, it’s a comfortable reel to fish with and I love a reel which is lightweight. Can’t complain.

Hi bud, can you tell me what brand & size of hooks you use for the lance 160 please.

Hi mate, I use a few different hooks for the Lance. Sometimes I’ll use a weighted hook like a 5/0 or 6/0 Berkeley fusion, sometimes I’ll use unweighted which again will be a 5/0 or 6/0. The sidewinder hooks are pretty good. The Berkeley hooks are super strong and last a long time.
