Lure Review- Spro Fat John + Bonus Fishing Footage

I read somewhere while doing a bit of researching on Bagley's baits that fiberglass are used to minimize thickness of the bill which allows it to cut and go through water easily without sacrificing too much on durability to that of plastic. Also, the easier the bill cut through water will translate to the bait reaching its designed depth a lot quicker. Good job on your videos. I enjoyed watching all of your videos. I really like this lure. It has a lot of action and is a blast to fish with. As for the camera...very cool. It looks like you may have some adjustments to make (such as angle). Sorry you lost the infamous "big one"

great review, def made my mind up as far as puchasing. first video I've actually been able to see colors and differences in size, lip size and shape, and even color. none of my local stores carry them, & need to order online. thx man

ST-36 are probably my favorite replacement hook. I use em all the time. However, the gamas this thing comes with are pretty good. Thanks for checking out the vid.

If your having issues with the front treble hanging on the lip but don't want to switch to a short shank hook, try swapping the round split ring for an oval split ring like they use for the line tie. Reduces the trebles ability to rotate to the side and hang up on the lip.

great review! love the spro fat johns and little johns. Wish they had the old glory color for the fat john, that colors awesome in stained and dirty water its killer! And i like the GoPro accept the audio isnt the greatest with the case around it. i think if you have the case off it sounds better i believe. nice job on the catches and keep the vids coming!

Great video albeit an old one at the time of my viewing it. I too had to keep looking at pics and descriptions to see the difference in the body and bill angle, thankfully a couple years ago we had some Little Johns at Cabela's where I work and I picked a few up then ordered the Fat Johns in Citrus Shad and Spooky Nasty. They definitely are a huge squarebill crank. Nice call on them making a smaller size a couple years later in the Baby Fat John 50 which is more of a wake bait 0-2 footer. I just ordered two on Tackle Warehouse. Keep up the videos I enjoy them bro.

Love your videos, best reviews online. I bought the fat, and little johns based on your reviews earlier this year, seems u like these based on that review. Do you have any issues with quality? All of mine seem to roll up and blow out in the water, & tuning them (esp. the fat john) having a short line tie ring is difficult. Read other reviews say the same lately that the quality isn't there anymore. U might say tuning is neccesary, but I own lesser lures that I've NEVER tuned. Any suggestions?

Sorry about that bud. I have a plan to review it but I was waiting to do it when I started reviewing mid and deep diving CBs. As for the shallow diver Little John, I personally like the Fat John better. It's better for most of the shallow cranking I do.
