scratchy plastic = easy to clean from dust , especially the dash board . my biggest issue with this car is that it has no armrest ! the Japanese version got arm rest and wireless charger and 360 camera.

Had a couple of test drives now pleasant car to drive only issue I had was trying to engage cruise at an indicated 73-74 it wouldn't play is that a calibration issue or how the systems set?

Great little car. Their only issue is the paint suffers badly from stone chipping. I hope Suzuki addresses this issue.

Can a central armrest be added….?

Not sure about the front end looks, would need to see one in the metal. The big question is: where is the sport model? Is there going to be one?

Early indications were that there wouldn’t be one… I’m pleased to say that it’s now looking likely there will be. More news expected this time next month

@LuscombeSuzukiLeeds That would please lots of customers considered the sport but having a broad back seat comfort was problematic.

Can you get a spare tyre with the Swift? Good that it has a real handbrake!
@LuscombeSuzukiLeeds4 ай бұрын
Yes, it will be added to the official accessories list very shortly. There is space under the boot floor

I would be interested in what this might cost without the extravagant tech. I guess that's not what the market wants. Just think £18K is a lot for a small car.
@anthonybrown48743 ай бұрын
Some of the most costly tech is mandated by EU rules so we are stuck with it and couldn't be deleted to provide a basic trim

Worth a look though a heated wheel is high on our wish list and the speed sign recognition could do with a simple silence button to make getting moving simple, motion wheels are ugly as bin lids, lots going for it otherwise.
@LuscombeSuzukiLeeds4 ай бұрын
The heated wheel is something we struggle to find on any car at this price point. Also agree on the Motion wheels, hence why for £550, we can upgrade the alloys to the Ultra’s which set the car off much better

@LuscombeSuzukiLeeds Thanks for taking the trouble to reply, you see them on high spec Picanto and I10 which were cars we considered prior to buying a Swift also Corsa it would be a nice option. On the wheels the old Swift SZL wheels are more attractive. Perhaps a basic spec car could be made available to compete with other brands claiming to be better value but less well equipped with options the customer values particularily available.

Obviously no spare wheel but what does it come with. I’m hearing reports of just a Towing Eye.

I have the previous model SZ5 Mild Hybrid with 1.0L 3 cyl Boosterjet Engine which has 109bhp. Got to say very underwhelmed by the new model, it just looks lie a facelift of my car. Slightly different at the front, and the tail lamps slightly different as well. Interior is almost identical apart from the larger infotainment screen. Overall the car is not that much different. The main disappointment is the engine only delivering a measly 81bhp, don't get me wrong I love my Swift, but to release a new model almost identical with a lesser powered engine that is so much slower is a backwards step by Suzuki. BTW having now had a test drive in the new model last week can confirm it is like a snail on valium compared to The 1.0 SZ5 Boosterjet Engine, I was actually shocked at how much slower it was. Again I absolutely love my current Swift as it has everything, but current owners will be massively put off by a ridiculous loss in performance of a so called new model,and many like myself will not purchase this 'clone' of the previous model with a woefully underpowered engine.

The 1.0 Boosterjet engine is a phenomenal engine, however to make the gains Suzuki have on efficiency, outright acceleration is compromised ever so slightly. That said, I didn’t find the Swift a slouch and for most, reducing fuel bills is preferable over slightly more spirited acceleration
