My sister and I decided to have fun with some subway performaners who were costumed as Mexicans, but their accent was decidedly Dominican. I look at my sister and asked her to film. I hand the “leader” $10 and asked him to play a traditional Mexican folk song - suuupppeeerrrr common in California, but if you’re not Mexican, you probably don’t know it. The NRA guy was quoting a statistic that stated "there were more murders by hammers than assault rifles". That would only be comparing a subset of the "rifle" category to a subset of the "blunt object" category. Which is pretty close and possibly true if you break down those categories. But definitely not when compared to all firearm related murders. Most of those are handguns and gang related.
