Huge Luther fan here, but don't ever underestimate George O'Dowd as a star. George was virtually an overnight global success, whereas it took Luther a long time to get his dues, and it took David Bowie to finally recognise Luther's talent! I've seen both Luther and George live and both were tremendously gifted performers, and yes I miss Luther too...but to say that there was only one star on that stage is downright *rude!!* Luther would totally disagree with you and your rudeness!

Jimmy happens to own this song he's the one who made this song a Huge Hit in (1966) and again in (1974) this classic Became Jimmy Ruffin's Greatest well song David and the Temptations are better off Singing other Songs but nobody can ever replace a great voice Jimmy's for a really awesome song like this.

Luther wasn't showboating. This is black music: expressive, heartfelt and strong. Luther's a good singer and sings in a way Boy George can't/doesn't and that's okay. But, I think another singer could have sung this with Luther, someone more along the lines of Jamie Foxx or even Lenny Kravitz, these (2) would be more complementary. Luther and Boy George did a good job with this beautiful song, but were mismatched and Luther's singing honors the original more.

I knew Luther. Luther was so annoyed with Boy George during rehearsals. Rolling his eyes behind George's back because George was not remembering the lines and had to use the teleprompter. George was also looking in Luther's direction while singing, trying to make a connection. Luther only connected with George a couple of times. They were actually very friendly prior to this particular day. So, the handshake rather than a hug was surprising. Also, seeing Luther walk off stage ahead of Boy George rather than them walking together with their arms around each other. Luther was not happy. George at that time was going through some personal struggles. ☮️✌️☮️
