Luxman L-590AXii - Line Straight vs Loudness

I think the loudness is really designed to use at very low volumes, I’ve been looking for the 590 for months, my local dealer here in Montreal sold me their last unit/demo for a screaming deal today. Had McIntosh for years but this Luxman sure is a game changer, such beautiful units. Certainly my last Intergraded 🙏

Congratulations on the purchase of 590. I noticed that luxmans play well in conjunction with other components of the same brand. They love high-quality cables. I also ordered 590, waiting for his arrival. I am currently using luxman l507 ux mark 2.

Line Straight is clearer and more articulate than loudness.

Mate what speakers are you using? I have 590II as well thinking of pairing w some Dyns Contour 30s but concerns regarding power handling w Luxman. If anyone else can chime in as well itd be much appreciated.

hi , the speakers are Audiovector R1 Arrete .. i had the speakers before i got the Luxman. i had the same concern as you do, so i took my speakers to listen with the amp at the dealer shop before i purchased... i think, if you can, take your Luxman to try with the Contour 30s before making your decision., or if possible, borrow the speakers to listen in your own room that would be the best idea. After months of using my 590 axII I find for some recording or streaming I just have the Bass boosted a little, 2 o’clock on the dial, it really warms up the sound. That’s what I love about this amp, so versatile, no matter how bad the recording this amp will make it sound the best possible. It’s so Beautiful as well. 🤓

Totally agreed.. that's a beauty of this amp..
