I'd love to summer over in that estate! The two pools are positioned to cool the interior, taking the bite out of the peak of the hottest days. Theterracing happens to work well for both close in and long range privacy too. Looking to the house's peak you'd have to be on an adjacent terrace to see up onto it, while adding one level of separation takes almost all of that level's viewing away.

Wow, this is a dream place... Perfect Villa to unplug and decompress! Yoga in the turret, tennis, swimming, hiking, and finally some fine dining watching the sunset. You could have the most hectic life ever and yet I bet all the stress would magically vanish after a few days here. Gubbio,if I am not mistaken,is the location for the "Don Matteo" detective series and where St Francis tamed a wolf.The word "Umbria" must be somehow connected to the Italian word "ombra" meaning "a shadow" -perhaps because of all the luxurious vegetation.

Hi Kalo, yes that is correct a part of the series Don Matteo was in Gubbio as well as St Francis taming the wolf. However the name Umbria does not derive from the word “ombra” but the civilization of the Umbri; in fact Umbria means the county of the Umbri. Stefanie
