I used to walk by it on the walking path. There used to be more Estates lining Lake Geneva that the land was broken down and the main beautiful home torn down. Lake Geneva has lost so many treasures. The newer homes just don’t have want the older ones do.I loved being able to see more of this home besides the Lakefront view.

Furnishings are light and tasteful...they kept out the heavy stuff. All it needs is one of those beautiful wooden motorboats you see on the lakes and canals in Italy.

I was privileged to live across the road from this mansion (the Dreihaus Estate) on Snake Road in Lake Geneva for several years. Indeed, it was magnificent and its owner was a wonderful humanitarian. It can be seen in all its glory from a lake cruise from the “Lady of the Lake” scenic sightseeing boat. This was basically a “summer home” as Mr. Dreihaus spent most of his time in Chicago where his business was. The majority of the mansions on the lake are summer homes and are owned by famous names everyone would know. I am happy that a house in Lake Geneva was featured here ….. Lake Geneva is a wonderful place to live.❤

I know the people who bought this house.. believe me they are not worried about maintaining and upkeep..it’s at very least their fourth house..Aspen..palm beach..Chicago.. they are great people and can’t help but root for them.. it’s beautiful! BTW. They also donate truck loads of money to charity every year!

Love the classical architecture that pair back to Greek Revival details. Clients who love properties like these are a dream to work with, since they genuinely appreciate fine historical details. Even much smaller versions of homes like this one are becoming quite pricey. Housing inventory is limited and finding people with the skills to create homes like this are becoming rare.

I live near Lake Geneva. This is a beautiful house but doesn’t feel like a summery LG lake house. LG has many mansions but this seems like it would fit better in Newport, RI or Greenwich, CT.

Yup. You should see what 350-500,00 will get you. In New York or Beverly hills the price would be in the millions. Although winter sucks and the property and sales tax will kill you. Winter pics wouldn't be stunning.Nothing is stunning in WI in the winter.

Great in the summer, but can't even imagine what their heating and electricity bills are....but if course if you paid that much for the estate, those costs wouldn't matter. Have been to Lake Geneva many times when I lived in Wisconsin. ( Now in CA.
