@@SpaandTell they don’t work as well in populated areas. They work best in the middle of nowhere where there are few people in a cell to share the signal with. In the middle of nowhere you can have 50mb upload but as soon as you move into a populated cell you will see single digit upload speeds. The signal also drops out a few seconds every few minutes. Fine for surfing the web but doesn’t work for live streaming or even zoom meetings. I’ve been on the wait list for a long time so I’ve had plenty of time to read up. It’s the only option where our farm is. (It doesn’t even have landline phone service.)

Lake powell has some of the most beautiful and unique views in the world. It’s also enormous. Going 30mph in a small boat it would take you over 7 hours to get from one end to the other, and that’s only staying in the main channel. With the random canyons and erratic landscape, lake powell has over 2,000 miles of shoreline. That’s more than the entire west cost of the continental United States. I’ve lived here my whole life and doubt I’ve seen more than 10% of the lake. Plus with the Lake being a man-made reservoir and water levels changing every year based on weather, every time you come to the lake is always a little different. It also has one of the darkest night skies in the country, making star gazing at night an unreal experience. Besides the water there’s also tons of hiking trails, random wild life encounters from horses and bears to alligators (they’re gone now). That’s a pretty big ass puddle in an amazing place.
