ITV schedule for this famous Saturday was changed beyond what was planned a week before, due to the funeral of Princess Diana. All entertainment based shows were axed for that Saturday, with a far more subdued and sombre schedule aired in its place, a unique schedule for ITV.

I wonder if the Sunday menu/announcement at 04:42 was networked as it has no LWT branding. I remember a few generic announcements similar to this going out in the North. Obviously if “The Capital Mourns” was a local programme then this must be a local announcement.

The Capital Mourns was a local programme , The ITV programme menu went out to ITV viewers in London only, and at the time LWT was owned by Granada, and also Central tv was own by carlton and they also use the ITV Programme menu also
