Interesting. Not sure that giant display is an aesthetic improvement over Eureka’s lovely, restrained one, but if the grinder is built as well as its brother, then it’ll be good for years. Like the bean hopper, though. I’m assuming it’ll fit a Mignon.

They are just a re branded Eureka mignong grinders in a different more fancy jacket. Internals are identical to Eureka . I have a mignon xl 65 mm burs completely te same. Good home grinder only fall back on mignons is the on/off button sometimes this button is re energised when removing your porta .and causing a mess. On/off on the display solves this and for home use more convenient. Large dose baskets can't well positioned on the mignon. When usng 14gr baskets no mess. 18gr you get a lof of powder missing the target. The lx seems to do better due to better filterholder

They look exactly like Eureka mignon grinders. Same adjustment wheel, same burr chamber and size, same exterior. So probably the same taste profile

Few things I like this XL brand: Grind size adjustment knob Bean hopper Large digital touch screen However, I assume that the burrs and motor is same as eureka oro line, which means grind quality is no difference to eureka oro line. My question is: does it worth to spend extra hundreds dollar for aesthetic? To me, no

Are the fittings and attachments (portafilter support, tuning dial, bean basket) compatible with the Eureka Mignon grinders? They'd make nice upgrades.

On average, after how many grams of coffee grinds do you recommend cleaning the burrs?

Hey r, To some extent it's up to the user. This grinder has fairly low retention. I'd only clean the burrs if the grinder sat unused for at least a week or two. So long as your grinding coffee through on a regular basis no need to clean burrs unless you notice something is off or maybe switching from a very oily coffee to a lighter drier roast. Marc

LX Italia and Eureka grinder websites are the same address. To me, this is a selling point. Eureka has been around forever and makes great grinders....and this display looks like an improvement over Eurekas design.

The Eureka grinders are not to bad . I have the xl mignon 65 mm burs . Grind quality is good for home. Only thing i don't realy like is the porta filter holder and the button to start the grinding. I often have a double dose due to accidentally push the button again when removing a full porta filter. So i think control trough touch pannel is better. The Eurekas would be perfect if they would also have a better funnel system. For large baskets they are not ideal, a bit messy. But overal grind quality is pro level for home.

Hey gs, Thanks for the comment. Flavor profile is similar to other flat burr grinders with same burr size. Wow, we have not used the theme song in many years! There are a bunch of lyrics in the full length song which incidentally was made for us by the daughter of a grinder designer out of the UK. Marc
