I am in disbelief at how professional this song is. This is the FIRST live person music video on this channel! How in the world is this so well made??? In terms of the music, singing is beautiful as always, the lyrics are bursting with meaning and it will take a couple of listens to in order to fully appreciate them, and the melody is stellar. Definitely in the top 10 Lydia the Bard songs for sure

I love that as the song progresses, she starts to sing slightly faster each time as if she's having almost like a panic attack. It also sounds like she's slowly sounding more controlling/afraid.

I’m a little shell shocked right now. For years I’ve been trying to get people to understand why I don’t like silence, why I need noise and music or the tv playing in the background. In the quiet my own thoughts and thought processes are too distracting and loud. You’ve portrayed how I feel and what I’ve tried to get others to understand. It took my breath away. So it might sound weird, but thank you. I feel like this has presented a new way for me to explain to others my own fears of the quiet. ❤

~Lyrics~ Promise I'm fine when I'm not See my minds spinning round and around with my thoughts I'm a pot with no lid and the water is bubbling 'Bout to boil over the temperatures doubling Siren alarm in the night and I can't stop the noise 'Cos I swear there's a fire somewhere I can't see it or hear it or smell it or taste it But what if I'm not prepared how will I face it If I could calm myself down just breathe in and breathe out Take a second let go off control Then my mind could be free But what if I drop the ball just for a moment Who would pick it up, a friend or an opponent? Can't I just calm down Stop the sound Take a breath and just relax But sometimes I'm afraid of quiet And what that would mean Cry a lot, fill a room with my tears I'm like Alice, except I'm the only mad one here Wish I could face what is coming But I keep on running I'm chasing the bunny Did I wake you, my noise was too loud? I'm sorry next time I'll turn my grief down If my turmoil troubles you I can just leave and I'll cry in another room I swear that I'm in control Or least I will be Working on regulation Affirmation and therapy Breath control Become a better me Can't I just calm down Stop the sound Take a breath and just relax But sometimes I'm afraid of quiet And what that would mean Tossing and turning The sun's in the sky It's 5am I can't close my eyes Want to turn off Just have some peace White noise is here And I can't sleep Tossing and turning The sun's in the sky It's 5am I can't close my eyes Want to turn off Just have some peace White noise is here And I can't sleep Tossing and turning The sun's in the sky It's 5am I can't close my eyes Want to turn off Just have some peace White noise is here And I can't sleep I swear that I'm in control or least I will be I am ruler of my mind and it will bow To me To me But sometimes I'm afraid of quiet And what that would-

I know thats probably not quite what the song is about, but those lyrics with a firest background take on a whole new meaning. Because when youre in a forest you SHOULD be afraid of the quiet. If an alive forest is ever truly quiet something is deeply wrong. It screams danger.

I’m been playing this on loop since it’s relatable- Honestly really admire your vulnerability in making your face reveal / debut be a song about anxiety . Never forgot depression-anxiety is a poopy faced liar. Also genuinely surprised this hasn’t already blown up… deserves more views!

As I was going through my KZbin shorts I came across a small portion of this song. I suffer from depression and anxiety. I have been for some time now. This song and music video really hits home. Especially the way the room looks almost mirrors mine. I love a clean environment but I’m constantly unable to clean it due to being too depressed to move. And because of that it causes me to not be able to get up and do things. Sometimes I sleep through the day so I’m up at night where it looks less messy. Not only does the imagery of the room calls to me but the song lyrics as well. I’m not okay when I tell people I am. And then I get even more anxiety because I can’t be honest with people who have high expectations of me. But I feel completely alone and crazy. The lyrics all encapsulate me just every word. If I keep going u will have a story of my life. But this song really is amazing.

I love this song and how easy it is to connect to it and all the details that show just how deeply and intensely the stress and anxiety feel - But I think the detail I love (and hate just bc it feels so real) is at the beginning I can swear I can hear a high pitched almost tinnitus-like note that persists through the song and I can taste that note. It's just like how my stress manifests irl

Wow. The pace of the song is overwhelming, in a way that feels very deliberate. On my first listen it was still ear candy, but I don't think I really _understood_ even reading along to the lyrics. But the more I listen to it, the more depth I find and the more I love it. To me this song is about living with anxiety, but thriving all the same! It's beautiful, and it's taken a spot as one of my favorite pieces of art in my life.

The Instrumentals, pitch, cadence, rythem and tempo all twisted together to make a whirling dervish that attack the listeners sences and touches their soul with an accurate potrayal of many minds (including my own). This song reached into the aetherial creative and brought back an absolute gem that resonates in the soul. And all of that says nothing about the amazing video. I wept at the image of you catching a glimpse of the version of yourself that lives wild and beautiful and free from the struggles in your heart and mind. Hidden away in your dreams. Being touched briefly by that inner peace only to lose it again when you wake. Realising you are still trapped within the walls of a cluttered room. You are quite the artist, don't ever stop.
