Since starting watching your channel again over the last 6months or so, I have taken up horse riding lessons, began reading again and have made more of an effort to have fresh vegetables as part of my diet (I’m envious of your garden!). So yes, your journey has absolutely helped me realise how much these slow and small joys can benefit my life ♥️

Hi Lydia, this video was so wholesome. I’ve followed you since the start and since covid I have suffered with generalised anxiety disorder which has been a real struggle to battle but you have been such an inspiration to me to seek help and focus on self care so I’m currently making sure I make time for myself and going through CBT but I never even considered acupuncture so I literally paused the video when you mentioned it n I’ve booked myself into a therapist near me so here’s hoping that may help too so Thankyou so much for shearing. You really are such a good person and you do help so many people with your Chanel so Thankyou for being real and Thankyou for being here your honestly a perfect distraction to a chaos world xxxx

We are all born with a unique gift that only you can give to the world. One gift is not more important than another. Can you imagine if your eye told your hand or your foot told your ear that what they were doing didn't matter or was important? Your gift matters and you have made a difference by teaching people how to live their best life, work hard, live, love and become the best version of one's self. All while having to open yourself up and be put under a constant spotlight. You have done well under the pressure and I am personally blessed to have found your channel. Thank you for not hiding your gift and sharing it with the world! Cheers xoxo

Lydia, get those flats re-soled and re-heeled and polished. Don't let your shoes get like that. Especially if you love them and like to wear them often. I have a pair of Ferragamo flats that are at least 20 years old, if not older and I have had them re-soled and re-heeled and polished, so that they still look brand new. BTW, I loved that deep forest green skirt. Can't wait to see it on you. Thank you for this video. I so enjoy your interactions with your fur babies, they are adorable. And the garden looks wonderful.

Your garden looks lovely and lush 😊Thistle is also wonderful for the native pollinators🐝🌸 and the seeds are an important food for goldfinch and linnet! To have more thistle in your meadow as cutting flowers or as a source of nectar for friendly garden critters, all you have to do is let one or two flowers in the meadow dry into seedheads, then, collect the seeds, and early next Spring cast (sow) them all about your meadow 💜

Dear Lydia, thank you for this lovely and sunny video! Keep spreading the love ❤❤ As a huge shoe lover, may I offer a little piece of advice? Your beloved pairs all need a little trip to a traditional shoemaker/cobler so that they can protect the fragile soles with a little rubber protection. You have such a beautiful collection! Coblers recommend that after a couple of wears you bring them your shoes so that they have the marking of your way of walking and thus can really protect the soles. Then you can walk as much as you like without having to worry. For sure a good cobler will fix your lovely Manolos and make them last for years! I wish brands were communicating more and better on this. In Paris, Christian Louboutin even has his very own place where they have the right red one for his shoes (he used to have one in London but closed during pandemic). I think you can send them your Louboutins from abroad to get them fixed, in bright red. The place is called "Minuit moins 7".

Haters are going to hate! That's what they do and they are never going to change. What they don't realize is that whatever they put out in the universe (be it thought, word, or deed) comes back to them tenfold. The more misery they leash on others, the more misery they get back. They are the true source of their own misery and they are killing themselves with it. It's sad but some of them will never learn and accept the fact that they have to be the one to change. You are a beautiful person, inside and out. You are admired and respected because you have changed into a positivee force to be reckoned with. You have value in this world that they will never have because of their choices. Don't let anyone take that away from you! God bless!

I'm so happy you were able to find a way to lift yourself out of your mental health issues, but please understand that you were also in an incredibly priviliged place at the time. Not everyone has the money to see a therapist, or an accupunturist, or a life coach, or a personal trainer. So to say that it comes down to a matter of choice, to simply choose to be a "waterfall" is not reflective of the reality of so many people, especially right now. Hell, my partner and I are relying on the food band and the dollar store for food, it's next to impossible to eat healthy this way. We live in the most densly populated city in our area and there are no adequate green spaces nearby, which I desparately need for my mental health. We have one car and the gas we put in it has to get him to work and back until the next pay period, so we can't even drive to a park. We live in a 450sq studio apartment with no room to grow any of our own food. I have struggled with my mental health for 2 decades and cannot afford therapy or any of the other luxuries you listed. I had to literally bring in my own research to my doctor regarding ADHD, in order to finally reaceive a diagnosis at 44, after struggling for years to get help, even though I have a family history of it. I'm also fairly certain I'm Autistic as well, and even though my doctor agrees, I can't afford an actual assessment. Having a disability (possibly 2) my entire life without knowing it has led to job insecurity, chronic depression, severe anxitey, chronic fatigue, cPTSD, and eventual burnout. I hit burnout at 39 and haven't been able to work full-time for 5+ years, and haven't been able to work at all for 6 months. I am incredibly priviliged to be with a partner who loves me, but he is also struggling and his job barely pays enough to support us. Finding our out my ADHD and Autism has been the key to my mental health issues, and the only way I have been able to begin to recover was to quit working entirely. But it has come as a great cost, by which we are on the verge of homelessness. If you didn't grow up poor, and haven't struggled financially as an adult, you cannot understand the stress this takes on your body and mind. The saying "money doesn't buy happiness" is only true for those who have thier basic needs met, this is backed up by study after study. Happiness is not a choice when you can't afford to live, especially if your sick and/or disabled.

Sorry your life is hard for you. There are many things you can do to help yourself. I’m live in a small home and have not ever had money to waste. I’ve had mental and physical problems all my life as well. There is a wealth of knowledge on the internet that will help. you can buy fresh produce from local markets. Life is yours for the taking if you think it’s hard it will be. People that have more have an innate desire for better things, they work very hard so they reap the benefits. Also not everything you see is true ,all people have some struggles regardless of their status in life. I personally believe mental health issues are from living against the grain. You are the only one who controls your life. If you don’t like it change it. We often complain about our life but there’s someone out there wishing they had yours. Take care believe to receive x

@@monicabatt9430 I can't afford to shop at the farmer's market, it's too expensive. I've been working hard since I was legally able to do so, since I was 11 if you count odd jobs and babysitting. To assume that you or anyone else has it better simply because you "work harder" is ableist. Your assumption that I've done nothing to try and help myself is ignorant at best, and your deeply held beliefs regarding mental and physical health are harmful and not based in reality. It is exactly this type of attitude that continues to stigmatize disabled people, those who struggle with mental illness, and people living in poverty. Ignoring the realities of systemic issues within society in favour of preserving your own comfort bubble is the hallmark of privilege. Punch up Karen!

IMPO, It is Nice when Influencers bring attention to Charity Causes. You might think that it's "bragging", but quite the opposite. You are shedding light on good causes that might go under peoples radar, or even bring to light charities that no one knows about. An Influencer can Help Charities out A LOT! You don't have to be royalty or a billionaire to throw a charity event. A Social Media Influencer has the Power to Raise A ton of Money for Charities also!!

Couldn't help but comment - don't pick the asparagus! The first few years you shouldn't be harvesting - after two years you can start harvesting a few of the spears. But even when they're fully established you should only harvest until mid summer (end of june), after that they should be left to grow to rejuvenate them ready for next year. I fertilise mine at the beginning of the growing season and again at the end of June. Also if some of the spears are thin I don't harvest them, as its usually because the plant is lacking energy, so it helps for next year. We have so much now, that I freeze what we can't eat straight away and make asparagus soup come the autumn. ❤️

They were house-sitting for Ali and Lydia, taking care of the dogs..why begrudge them a bit of wine.??? As they were family, I doubt they were remunerated ...
