The only thing that's sketchy is if you honestly forgot something in your past and then they find it later in the hiring process... and you get DQd for lying but you really don't remember it. I don't know if this is a fair process. Like for me, I haven't ever been arrested or charged with anything but what if I don't remember a date correctly for a car accident like 11 years ago and they call me out for it

I’m almost done with my background process. CVSA had me so nervous but he hasn’t said anything about it, (it was a 3rd party BI) he’s asked for more information from me & asked that I reach out to people who haven’t replied. If I failed he wouldn’t be asking me all of this right? He would just DQ me & save the time?

What if the case was a DA reject ? For insufficient evidence . And the report was a lie? How can one tell the truth if the “truth” will be based off a false report? In California you can’t even request the report if you are referred to as a “suspect” to defend yourself or build a case to clarify for the investigators during the process? And what if the detective on the case has a terrible reputation and is known to be “shady”. Incident occurred 13 years ago. No incidents since not even a traffic ticket .

Thank you , I don’t know if I’ll be DQ for that past incident . But I also always wanted to be a LEO for as long as I could remember . I’m going to join your course do my best and leave it up to the folks who will interview me . If I did all I can to prepare and present myself and it wasn’t enough I could live with that . I just don’t want to wonder if I missed an opportunity to pursue a career I’ve always wanted. So I’ll sign up looking forward to working with you guys . Worse case scenario I’ll learn a ton and have the opportunity to speak with some great people

Isnt a good one, most people will go along with what you said. I could say hey besides them doing coke is there anything else you know about em? And most people will respond with "no nothing else" assuming you said besides whatever, because you know it to be true and wont go against you. Even if the person has NEVER done drugs.
