They are just, as Thomas Sowell said, useless. Following a group and living, thinking, acting, and talking like that group is their way of making up for the fact that they have no life or focus or passion aside from a fetish for stupid beliefs. Then there's people like this woman that are no different than the silly, obsessive weirdos that only care about politics and lie about actually having feelings aside from that. Well, I've been wondering why these types freak out so hard when their work is criticized, and I think it has to do with this idea that "art is a platform". They only know how to write self instert political mouth pieces from their own perspective. So when people point out something wrong with the work they cannot help but be personally offended, and that is intentional. It's bait. Just like the article featured in this video. Sad part is that no matter how ridiculous the concept, this idea must be crushed because when it is ignored, they view that as a victory and a chance to expand their influence. If they receive heavy push back, they cry and scream that they are being oppressed, while blaming their own audience for their sub-standard work. They feel harassed, because they are finding out that the majority of international audience actually doesn't agree with them... but that would conflict with certain narratives, now wouldn't it.

@hastur-thekinginyellow81153 жыл бұрын
See, the thing about this, is that it's not that these kinds of people are incapable of good writing. If they actually took the time to be open minded (and I don't mean same kind of "open-minded" they think of when they hear the term) and creative, they'd probably find that they're actually talented writers if not able to at least write something that's passable and mediocre rather than something that is just outright bad and intolerable. It's when these people, however, are so self-absorbed and close minded (and I *do* mean the same thing people think when they hear the term) that the fact that their "image" has become so vested, that it's become so much apart of who they are and must be forced into everything they do, that they become incapable of writing good stories. You could be the greatest, most talented writer of your generation and it still won't amount to shit if you're so self absorbed that you can no longer think outside the box and outside of your own head in order to write good stories. It's like a writer literally handicapping himself and placing self-imposed limitations, "ok, I can't talk about this, this, and this, but on the other hand I HAVE to include this, this, and this". These self-imposed (and self absorbed) limitations become so obvious to a reader that it immediately takes them out of the story and allows them to see the writers creation for what it is, either a propaganda piece made to push a belief of the writer or a piece made entirely to fluff up the writer and their ego. I guess you could say the most famous example (of our time) of people with great writing abilities who squandered that talent when they let themselves become consumed by the ever-present need to push their personal identity onto others, is probably the Wachowski brothers/sisters. The Matrix is BELOVED by millions. Every film after they changed their sexual orientation however and became "activists"? Flopped harder than a fish out of water.

Hmm...i think there is a logic gap there. The problem isn't personality. Even the best, like Alan Moore and John Byrne has thrown famous tantrums at times. The problem is that most of Marvel's recent hires have no talent to begin with. That's not a racial/gender/whatever problem. That's a mismanagement problem. This particular situation was ALREADY doomed the moment Marvel hired her JUST because she looked like the character. Not because of talent contest or because she has worked in industry for years. Just because she resembles Riri (like a half million OTHER women in the US!) . A person with no writing talent has no writing talent, no matter their race/gender or whatever.

They seem to write propaganda which backfires as their heroes are thugs and their villains are innocent bystanders. It is an insult to real propaganda, which is creative. Look at Soviet and North Korean propaganda. They have great artwork and everything. These comicbooks have bad art style, awful protagonists. Their protagonists are always the cause of the bad stuff. Such as that comic where victims of a school shooting uses their powers to attack other survivors because of their opinions on gun rights. Their narrative looks as if it was a parody and that they were writing for the side of the villains. If that was the case then they would be great writers but sadly it is not.

I mostly got into the X-Men through the cartoon. My favorite characters were Gambit, Storm, Rogue and Nightcrawler. Gambit is charming, sassy, well intentioned. He's a cool guy, I love his accent, and his romance with Rogue is sweet as it is bitter. Rogue, for all her power, is literally unable to interact with others without potentially hurting them. This forces her to keep even those she loves most at arms length. Her struggles to overcome that make her an awesome character. Storm is Mom to the X-Men. She is the voice of reason, she is compassionate and caring, but also decisive. Being able to control the weather is cool too. Nightcrawler always fascinated me because he is a man of Faith and one of few positive depictions of Christianity in comics. (Even if I likely have some theological differences). Despite his being so inhuman and prone to far more abuse from others, he has Faith and doesn't let his circumstances get him down. His That one of the most inhuman of the X-Men possesses the heart that Humanity SHOULD have is part of what makes him so great. I don't look like any of them. I'm also being honest here when I say these four are my favorites. I never liked Jubilee, her powers were inconsistent and she annoyed me most of the time. Despite liking Wolverine, I never really cared all that deeply for him, sorry Logan. And Scott/Cyclops had... moments. I understand the weight of leadership sometimes caused him to be a dick, but... eh. But when I think back on the show (outside the Phoenix Saga), these are the X-Men I like most.

Oh, For the love of PETE! If this woman wants someone who can do her job for her! Then I will do it for free! You could've connected the second Avengers movie with the flipping comic! You remember the damn scene where the black lady gives Tony Stark that picture of the dead solider! Have it CONNECT to that *With SOME tweets*! You could have it that Ri-Ri (Stupid nickname by the way!) is the little sister of the dead solider. Unlike the mother who wanted to show Tony the damage that he has done to the family she with her young self IDK like 5 or 6 wishes to ask the man that sent her brother to heaven; why he did so and if she can have him back. Have her sneak around always by passing security till she succeeds in getting to see him. Tony can see she is smart *By tracking and breaking into his security*, determined *By how many times she picks herself up and try's after failing*, brave *Just for taking this journey on her own* and kind *By how she interacts with him by not blaming him for something he couldn't control OR just doing this to help mum not just herself* etc. So you could have him apologize for it and even watch her from time to time to see her progress. Hell you can have HER check up him cuz she can see he is sad even have it she watches him fix the iron suit and helps. Over time gaining a mentor mentee relationship. By the time she is old enough she wants to save HIM seeing as he takes on more and more as he ages or goes into turmoil and starts drinking after losing old team members to the evolving villains' who are increasing in numbers by the days. So she take it on herself to not loose the last male figure she has in her life she puts on the suit. Only to be pushed away by Tony who doesn't want to loose her but she isn't having it she knows he NEEDS the help. And she WANTS to HELP not just her teacher but the people whom she wants to protect as her BROTHER once did. NO DRIVE BY, NO GANGSTERS NONE OF THAT! Just have her be smart, curious, LIKEABLE and brave young lady who wants to do the right thing! THERE FIXED THE BULLCRAP! I know it isn't perfect but having a nice mentee that both is respectful of her teacher/predecessor enough to risk themselves for them would be nice to see instead of a cocky twat that loves to play the race cared when SHE is the racist!
