Alzado was a really fine human being. Crazy as hell with a great sense of humor and ready for anything. Quite a few times he pulled my hash out of the fire. He and Barry Beck were there when I needed help in Glendale. God Bless You man!

Nice one Matt, as a huge NFL fan I really enjoyed this, and I think this was the golden era for American Football with so many great players in all positions for so many teams. You can see the rage in his eyes, he was one of a good few killers on the Gridiron back then.

I told my guys that life gets busy and sending positive vibes and prayers to those you miss helps them AND us as well until we can share the air again! My Dad got me into Golden Gloves to help deal with my temper as a youngster. Mom always thought it was counter productive but Dad said that the discipline and hard work would encourage me to focus on my abilities and accept my limitations! He was right of course! There's an account of Raider linebacker Matt Millen choking Alzado, and another account of running back Marcus Allen punching Alzado and Alzado did nothing.
