Without over driving the headlights. Even with LED bulbs in stock housings, the car will go faster than you can see down the road.

Converting to all LED lighting was a huge upgrade…. Especially the GTR HEADLIGHTS. Ive talked to Les about installing a set of American racing headers. The stock 03 convertible , slightly lowered , with a magna flow axel back exhaust, that I already own, fits my needs. My old left knee, worn out from too many shifts sometimes disagrees. I did install a MacCloud twin disk street clutch and matching lighter flywheel, but it still modulates like a stock clutch, so I almost forgot to mention that. the advantage is a smaller diameter rotating mass , with a lot more friction material for long wear , with a little bit lighter steel flywheel. A clamshell hood would be nice. I always wondered about the suitability of the shock towers for coil overs, and was glad to have that settled in this video.. I had never heard that issue definitively addressed before, just people digging the modification , with no concerns expressed about the original shock tower design capabilities.

2014 Stingray with Z51 & NPP I bought about 7 months ago. Very near future, like this year, American Racing long-tube headers and tune. Maybe x-pipe, maybe skip it. Several years down the road, centrifugal supercharcher. New wheels (still shopping for which ones). I like the design of the stock wheels, but they're painted cast aluminum. I'd like some good forged wheels. Minor changes to exterior trim (get rid of all chrome badges, replace with carbon flash, get rid of stock grill with the chrome strip, replace with Z06 style). Maybe, maybe, somewhere down the road, a wide-body kit for the wider wheels/tires. If money was no object, a fully built bored and stroked engine. . . . or I may just leave it stock and save my pennies to eventually trade up to a C7 Z06 or maybe a C8 of some type. Still on the fence about that.

With my 2012 GS coupe, can I add long tube headers and x pipe and keep the stock two mode exhaust working. Don’t exactly know how the vacuum actuation system works. Then add an intake, slightly taller cam for some chop chop, and a custom Dino tune. Suspension is already lowered as far as it will go on the Stock lowering bolts, so let’s take on some On some adjustable shocks to go a little lower. Already added the throttle controller, the mild to wild controller for the exhaust, and changed every lightbulb inside and out to LED. Love the Morimoto C8 style headlights on my C6, changed the entire front look. Already added the aero on the nose, side and rear, including a three stage rear spoiler kit and carbon fiber look steering wheel with contrasting stitching, and did the F1 paddle shift conversion for my automatic trans. Add A quality, ceramic coating, heat, rejection film on all the windows and the new cool shift handle to replace that boring cobalt looking junk piece. Would love to go to Corvettes at Carlisle this year and have the header vendor install the system right there at the event, a service they offer. Finally, I would love to throw some carbon fiber and chrome pieces under the hood to dress up the appearance to match the increased performance appeal . Way less than $40 k.

The question I would ask of anyone wanting to modify and improve their HP is. "Can you drive this car at its limit?" My bet is that 98% would answer "NO". They just want bragging rights as to their mods that will cost them a small fortune.

Not a fan of aftermarket body kits Lyle, but that's just my opinion

I had no idea you were almost 6'11. How the heck do you fit in the C5? I'm 6'2 and encroaching on the limit of my comfort. My 6'7 buddy looked absolutely miserable in the passenger seat for a 10 minute drive. 😂

Why are those wheels so cheap?
@csvette12 күн бұрын
I'm not sure that I would call $3K for 4 wheels "cheap", but Apex does offer excellent value for the dollars spent. Lyle :)

Fussy. That’s the word. That’s why I’m taking my C6Z back to NPP muffler setup and selling my Corsa.

$40k??? I would sell my A&A supercharge and build a NA motor that matches the 610hp to the ground. I love the power but the heat soak at the track and 30lb on the nose would not be missed at all. I also do not like the blower whine that everyone else seems to love for some reason. The rest of the car is perfect for the class I run.

@csvette12 күн бұрын
We install aftermarket seats frequently in C5's and C6's. The key is finding seats that are narrow enough for the space available while still being able to incorporate the seatblets mounts. Lyle
