LYMANTRIA: SKY SOAKER AND ARTILLERY BOMBER

The lymantria is a very underused powerhouse. First and foremost, people forget that it is actually a really good soaker. And that with a good imprint, saddle, and veggie cakes, we are talking levels of soaking that are impressive for sky mounts!!!! They also have an artillery function that people do not use enough to ruin speed and stamina of dinos nearby....

The very funniest thing of me finding this video is that I legit dedicated to get this as my sole flyer. You can't breed them unfortunately but with Wildcard experimenting with new breeding mechanics in Genesis I would hope they'd come up with some sort of way to enable breeding on these moths (especially since their life cycle is a lot more straight forward than a spider or scorpion).

You can find really good saddles and bps for them in supply drops in Valguero. Mine has 186 armor!!!

Now do one for Queen bees on Cave Defense. Weight it down with stone and they send endless drones. They are one hit kills, but if just one drone hits a soaker or giga then it dismounts the rider and they can’t get back on for ten seconds.

No, there is no reduction in damage at night time. That is for the Megalosaurus and the Troodon.

Checked with wiki and Dododex. Sadly you cannot breed them. They still have Male and female genders and can lay eggs though.

If they are offline for hours, dont have many turrets and you dont have any other soakers then i can see this maybeee working? But something like a snow owl works way better than this. That thing would die in seconds if you got picked off it or sniped at.

Due to how the player is positioned on the back of the Lymantris and the fact that you can easily soak with the belly completly protecting the player, it makes it very hard for that splash damage to hit the player if you fly in correctly.

Unfortunately, you can not breed the Lymantria despite the fact that they lay eggs and have genders.

I think he ment at the very tippy top of turret towers were a Lymantria would be able to handle it, soaking out the bullets overtime, eventually depleting many if the bullets the further down the tower it goes. This process is a bit lengthy, but you get the idea.

Elijah that actually depends on the reaper. All lower levels you should do hp but if you get a max lvl and get a good melee stat you can level it pretty well.

Or you could just use a snow owl which can dismount during giga fights but also soak better and heal itself. btw your armor on ur saddle is not realistic at all lmao its 30+ above cap

I don’t see the spores being useful, I mean yes you can slow people but with a snow owl you straight up freeze them. The owl is just better over all

Unfortunately this is yet another casualty of extinction. Prior to this you couldn’t easily heal carnivores so the fact that moths eat cakes was huge. You are much better off with a snow owl and also there’s not much point in bases not in caves these days
