We survived another Hurricane. This time aimed at our beautiful city of Sarasota. I am recounting the storm here. I am grateful for the Lord's protection over us! Thanks for praying!
My parent's new home is ok as well! Prayers for the many who have terrible damage through this!

Subscriber here from WVa who, along with our church, prayed especially Wednesday evening for all of those in the hurricane's path. It's a different kind of helplessness knowing those we have come to know and love via youtube are in danger of yet more destruction. Thank God it was weakened to some extent. I’ve lived and have experienced a few hurricanes-both in Florida and New York City-preparing for during and after can get intense-and the going through it-and yes, God is good in that we experienced minimum damage in my areas; and helping neighbors is the right thing to do. ❤

So glad you are managing and able to help others. My brother just returned from Tampa trying to help there. Viewer's need to please consider keeping chimney rock and Ashville in their prayers. Helena just came through like a freight train of water destroying everything in her path. Lake Lure looks so tiny filled with homes, barns and splintered trees. I live in upstate SC and we had 70 mph winds. I can’t imagine 100 mph winds. My son-in-law was in Venice, FL at an assisted living. He’s a maintenance supervisor for several communities throughout the Southeast. The weatherman said they got 107 mph winds there. The amount of trees uprooted here is unbelievable. My Dad has still not gotten tv service on Oct. 18th. He’s in a veteran’s nursing home. Those poor men don’t have much to pass their time. I’m so glad your family is safe.

I was shocked by the 130 tornado warnings issued by the NWS in the hours pre-landfall. Massive tornadoes hit south and east of you, which is not normal for a tropical storm. Praise God that you're okay. It could have been a lot worse. I know some people on Siesta Key and they're okay, too.

I am still overwhelmed after being hit by Helene in SC, you are not alone. We’ve never seen anything like that. It genuinely felt like the end of the world, not having a way to call or get to family. Thankful that being alone and scared led me back to God. Grateful you are all okay!

I was in zone c and yes, it was a mandatory evacuation. We were fortunate to have somewhere to go. I am so grateful we didn't get the 18 foot storm surge that was predicted. My apartment would have been drowned. But we didn't have a drop! Yes, I agree that God answered prayers! I'm so grateful that you and your family are safe.

God is good I lived hurricane Maria category 5 almost 6 years ago here in Puerto Rico never seen so much devastation in my life but the Lord is so perfect that in less than a year everything was green again never lost my faith in God he is the owner of the heaven and the earth why should I be afraid of ? I also believe that prayer changed the outcome. It should've been so much worse and it would've been if it would've hit farther north, the storm surge would've been much higher. We lost power in Lakewood Ranch around 6:30 and got it back 46 hours later. That was a blessing!

We are in Lakeland and ended up on the bad side of the storm, by Grace of God, we did not have any damage, but our town in areas had a lot and especially flooding. The back side of that storm was no joke…I hope that truly was a once in a lifetime storm, I don’t want to repeat that! So glad you all came out okay as well, we can just pray for all the ones that didn’t ❤

We live in LWR and it was an eerie experience being in the eye. Never in my life did I ever think we would be in the eye of a hurricane. Glad you all ok and we keep helping and praying for those who were not so fortunate. Good description and exactly our experience too.

I am so happy to hear you guys are ok! And yes Lynette, the "survivor's guilt" is REAL! I am in Thomasville, NC about 2-3 hours from WNC with family in Boone. For about a week and a half to two weeks after Helene it was hard to be happy. You survived this hurricane that came through your area but yet just 2 hours away it was utter devastation. I am a middle school treasurer, and I send out a "staff out" email daily stating who is out if the building and what substitute teachers are there and I usually add a funny meme at the bottom (just to brighten everyone's day), I didn't for about 2 weeks. I told everyone that will everything going on, funny memes didn't feel appropriate.

We live in Bradenton, Fl and just went through back-to-back hurricanes! We are soooo blessed and grateful to have had little to no damage to our home! There are so many more people who have suffered catastrophic damages!! We drove out to Anna Maria Island and it’s almost too much to bear!!! Hallelujah! So glad your family and friends made out well. You were all in our prayers. Yay God! My husband and I lived through Hurricane Sandy in October 2012 when we lived in New Jersey. Although we were not in a flood zone, our neighborhood got hit pretty bad with flooding. We were without power for ten days. The people in South Jersey lost everything in some areas. It took FEMA years to help rebuild. I understand what you went through, and I am so very glad you are all alright. God is very good! We now live in northwestern Pennsylvania. Hurricanes are at least one thing we no longer need to worry about. Though tornadoes and blizzard might be another story.

I was praying and using my authority in Jesus Christ to REBUKE the storm. I beleive that so many thousands were praying and God honored that prayer because the eye was weakened and what the media predicted just did not occur.
