I love her so much. I was a waitress at stand-up New York on the upper west side when you were just starting out and you were so beautiful and they looked up to you so much and I used to hate your self depreciating humor. And then I watched you, you used to compare your body to mine as a waitress there, and you didn’t know that I was anorexic and I hated it , I would go home and cry that this brilliant lady was comparing herself to an autistic waitress Then when you got so skinny and you acted like you were stupid in LA because you’re so brilliant. And you’re so smart. I am glad you went back to the church because you’re beautiful and I love you and you always have been beautiful and perfect. Just how you are. Hi myself did not get so lucky to be saved because I was destroyed by yucky men. I’m on my way out, but it’s nice to see you.

In Biblical mythology, God creates man first and tells him not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good vs. evil because if he does, he will have to die. He says this before he even creates woman from the man because “it is not good for the man to be alone,” that is, foremost for companionship rather than procreation. Then the snake cunningly comes to twist the words with her because she wasn’t around to hear the original instructions. There’s so much symbolism here, and the Bible is full of questionable actions on God’s part… but she is hilarious!

Adam treated her as his subordinate. When she demanded equality she was banished from Eden. Then Eve was plucked from Adam’s rib.
