I can't believe that I sat and watched both parts 1 and 2 back to back. Although it was very long, it was also very good. I could not stop watching it until I'd heard all of her testimony. I am an American so I had to turn on the language translator so that I did not miss any of the story. What a beautiful language Swahili is. It's on my language app and because of your show, I started listening and learning Swahili. I listened to about 10 of the lesson and then came back to your show. From that short amount of time listening to the lesson, I learned enough to recognize when you used the word for sleeping. I felt so proud of myself. Anyway, your show is awesome! I will be watching you on a regular basis. I subscribed to your channel after having watched only one show. You're that good. You are very empathic to the pain of others. So am I. I was in tears listening to the tale of rejection and forgiveness in this young lady's life. This show is so inspirational. Keep up the good work!!!

Hi Lynn I'm from South Africa I'm a 57 year old woman. I was supposed to be at church today but I have decided not to go to church for no serious reasons. And I am watching and listening to this beautiful woman's story. Thumps up for the wonderful work you are doing Lynn. May God bless this young lady and her mom. I'm listening to this

She’s SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO articulate…….Through & By The Grace Of God she’s being carrying the weight of this world on her shoulders for almost her entire life……A large fraction of her formative (early) years has been spent doing that, & today still abled to maintain her sanity…….Who could have carried her through all that BUT GOD??????🌹🙏🌷

I know her pain probably very well. The first time I had a sit down with my dad in his house was in 2020 August.....He left when I was 45 days old. I would have a sit down with him at 29 yrs old. I have never seen a boys eyes sparkle when he sees me like my dad's eyes sparkled. The most beautiful smile I ever seen my entire life and it is the only beautiful memory I have of him. In March 2021, my dad would pass on.That night I saw it in my dream. The next morning I got news that my dad had passed on. It is the most excruciating pain ever, the pain, the regrets, the horrible childhood, the trauma forever inflicted in your mum, the marks, my mother still has burns marks on her but above all, the most surprising thing about, I felt so much love for my father that goes beyond all these trauma.I only wish I had time to make things right because he too, his pride and ego would not allow him. But I am my father's daughter and always will be. RIP a stranger I loved a little too late

Hi Lynn, Thanks very much for sharing these stories. Though I can only follow part of the conversation, your stories have been very inspirational. Lynnet is a very strong woman and her story has made me re-examine my own life. Rejection is the worst trauma any child can ever experience and this pushes the victim to a world of self-pity and shame. I agree with Lynnet that men should seek help, otherwise they self-destruct and become abusive themselves. But how do men get help in a very patriarchial society where doing so is seen as a sign of weakness? I got rejected by my dad even before I was born. My coping mechanism comprises a very reclusive and reserved lifestyle. Not having a father figure to look up to, I taught myself to become a man and the first person I would run to is myself. So moving away from this area that has always shielded me seems very improbable, even when I know I desperately need help. I am 38, with a doctorate but this has always been a grey area in my life. But seeing Lynnet confronting her past and making the better out of it has given me the courage. Yes, Lynnet should write a book.

Linet your story simply broke my heart and had me in tears. I am not a firstborn, however, I empathise with you and recognise my own similar circumstances - (sleeping on a cot in the hospital for a month and a half while my mother (who delivered to me some of the words your dad delivered over you) lay dying. I chose to forgive her and take care of her until she breathed her last breath on 24 October 2018. Linet, you are blessed, never forget that... and so is your mom and brother. God works in mysterious ways, his wonders to perform. I commend you for being such an inspiration and being so open and honest with your story. May God continue to guide you and protect and provide for you and your family. With a heart like yours, the sky is not even the benchmark... Go do great works and be an inspiration to the young people around you. I pray continued blessings over your life and all you touch or involve yourself in.

Lynn , I also went thru the same trauma being a first born in my family. My dad, will beat up my mum to the death. I grew up in that environment of torture and fear, my mum lost my bro while she was 8mnths pg due to the beatings. It went on till she got pg again for my bro and still she almost lost the pregnancy though she underwent the c.s .... But, that was not enough, my dad will still beat us, till it came to a point where we had to go my grandmothers place, but so sadly I lost my mum and left behind a one year old boy behind.. My life took a U-turn.. I remember one day, my dad came with a woman where my mum was bedridden and told me, this will be your new mum.... It haunts me till date ....... I have a long story to tell... My dad, disowned us till the day my mum left us... Lynn,I would also like to share my story....
