Like all Skynyrd fans, I will miss Gary. Such a humble man, and such a fantastic guitarplayer. His grip of the fretboard and the way he touched the strings is very special. Just wait and see, all the big guitar magazines waill be analyzing his playing. He made his guitar speak, Considering all harm the planechrash did to his body, and all the pain he was in, it is amazing that he could play so well, and do so close to the day he left us.

Skynyrd was just a Badass band and were the real deal and the songs they played were all top notch. I'm truly sorry for the 10/20/77 plane crash and remember exactly where I was when the news of the tragedy came over the radio. Very sad situation for the band and the fans. The new band is doing a great job but they're not Skynyrd and I feel the name should have been layed to rest when Gary died and replaced with the band name Skynyrd Nation which would honor the band and their music but protect the Lynyrd Skynyrd name from being tarnished in any way. There isn't a band around that I know of on the professional level playing Southern Rock anymore and it's sad. I tip my hat to Lynyrd Skynyrd for a job well done and thank them for the great music they left all of us to enjoy. You all can now rest easy your job here on earth is done. And what a wonderful job all of you did for us. Thanks for the music & memories you left us.❤You all a lot and you all will be missed.

Go to KZbin and search for the 1974 live version of the song and you'll get the chills, they sound the same and the reason the band didn't play it much on stage is because Ronnie wrote that for his wife and it wasn't played much by the new line up out of respect to Ronnie. Let's not forget " Tuesdays Gone ' A beautiful song and the 2004 lineup during the " Vicious Cycle Tour " they did a great job on it.

And this is coming from someone who always leaned towards the "Ronnie" era Skynyrd, not only did the "Johnny" era Skynyrd do such a kick ass job with this gem, I personally think it's the best thing I ever heard of the new era performing the ole! Keep those gems alive gentlemen!
@arbogash18525 жыл бұрын
Heshy Bear They did good here, but it's not Lynyrd Skynyrd. It's a good cover band carrying on the tradition, but there's a way to do that.
@nonyabizz73274 жыл бұрын
take this track raise the entire track here up one octave and it turns into the 76 line up ...they redubbed this and cheated//// raised up one octave johnnies vocals are indentical vowel for vowel to ronnies .. you have all been duped on this one.. medlockes idea i guess.. what a disgrace to take the 1976 version and just with one click of a mouse in a daw turn it into the new line up version, they used drum click and redubbed it with the 76 version.. i can prove it if someone needs more proof.
@nonyabizz73274 жыл бұрын
@@arbogash1852 not even a cover band on this song in the video.. the audio that goes with this video is a redub , they took the 1976 version , put it in a studio and lowered the track from a to G# to make it not sound like ronnie even the guitars drum and bass the whole line up is the 1976 lineup, they use drum click to keep the timing on.. i just wonder now how many times they did this trickery on other songs.. ronnie is flipping in his casket ,, this is a disgrace
