I was a teenager in the 70s and saw Skynyrd many times. They truly helped shape my thinking on guns...drugs..alcohol. they truly made an effort to talk to us...the youth of the day. The Needle and the Spoon was another great antidrug anthem by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Love you guys!!!

Lynyrd Skynyrd had an impressive 3 guitar line up. This song debuted in the Burt Reynolds movie "The Longest Yard" 1974/75. RIP to all the original band members gone... only 2 are still alive... Artimus Pyle and Gary Rossington...

There is a lot of people that shouldn't have guns but do that's why I keep my on me at all times if guns was outlawed in America only outlaws would have them

A Saturday night special is a very cheaply made gun that is meant to be used at very close range. That’s why it’s good for nothing except for killing. I am An American who has no desire to own a handgun. However there are some in this country will tell me I need one because of the government or anarchists that live in this country. Thank you for reviewing a song that is still relevant today unfortunately.

Much of the gun violence in America can be traced back to the Supreme Court and their interpretation of the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution. It is one of the shortest amendments, consisting of just one sentence "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed." Our founding fathers had seen governments in Europe fall to military coups and did not have a standing army. So they relied on citizen militias to protect the country in situations like the War Of 1812 where the British tried to take back control of the newly formed country. However, in their interpretation of the amendment, the Supreme Court took only the last part of the sentence out of context as well as out of the historical context. So most "gun enthusiasts" believe that the "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed." is the entire amendment. When you see it on the windows of pickup trucks, you NEVER see the entire amendment, just the second part of the sentence. Most of these people who say, "I support the 2nd Amendment" actually have never read the complete sentence. In addition, our founding fathers could never have imagined automatic or semi-automatic guns capable of killing dozens of people within seconds. They would be rolling over in their graves if they saw how their amendment was being misused the way it is.
