Your appreciation and knowledge for good southern rock music is admirable. We don't know how really good some artists are until they're gone.

Great reaction & acknowledgement of Allen Collins! 💙 🤘🎸🎵 Thank you for doing this one! So many reactors just do the more popular songs by LS. Great to see people going deeper into the catalog of so much great music! ❤🎵

My cousin was just a big innocent country white guy from West Virginia drafted in the Vietnam War. United States Marine field radio operator. They had a 5 minute life expectancy in combat. Heroin was so cheap over there .. he came home a junkie . RIP

I just got back from Jacksonville, FL, and Skynyrd’s security manager, Gene Odom, took us on a tour of all things Skynyrd. We saw childhood homes of Ronnie, Allen, Bob Burns and Gary Rossington. We ate at Ronnie’s favorite local restaurant. Ronnie Van Zant, Leon Wilkeson, Billy Powell, Allen Collins and coach Leonard Skinner are all buried at the same place. Steve Gaines and his sister, Cassie are buried at Jacksonville Memory Gardens. We went to the Hell House grounds, where they practiced. It was almost like I was on music’s sacred grounds. We really enjoyed it. None of those boys and girls lived to be old. I guess Artimus is 70, Gary is 69 and Leslie Hawkins is probably in her mid to late 60s.

Always listen to them live. One of the "few" bands that sond the same as the recording . Plus you get to "watch" the talent.

They always sounded better live. Want to very few bands that can do that.

I totaly get why black Americans love Skynyrd. It is originally black delta blues style. Ronnie was kind of emulating Paul Rogers of Bad Company ,who was trying to sound like Muddy waters /Robert Johnson etc. It totally hits .

No band back then or today could match them live they were always tight and on point. Concert sounded just like the album

Yesss! This is fantastic! They are great. Don’t know of a bad Skynyrd song! Their lives were cut short tragically sadly but a GREAT band! “The Ballad of Curtis Lowe” is worth a check! Rock on and thank you @All Things Bre! 🤘🤘

Great reaction, gf! I bet you'd like Neil Young's "The Needle and the Damage Done." It has a very different vibe than Lynyrd Skynyrd, very sad and haunting.
