You are always teasing us with talk of your storage area. Would love to see a tour of the storage to see all the cool old stuff you have there. Keep up the great videos.

I'm always a bit surprised when you feature a game I've never heard of in my 55 years. But that's one of the reasons I enjoy watching your channel.

I was able to guess what was wrong with this machine within the first couple minutes, it’s broke! 😂 thanks for another fantastic video

The problem with some of the Sega games is that they used suicide batteries inside some of the processor chips that if they die the game dies with it as they contain a decryption key in the battery RAM. Some of them can be revived with a decrypted or bootleg ROM and replacing the custom processor with a 68000 or Z80 depending on the model.

Hi Joe! Thanks for the video. You and Ron have a good weekend!

Ron, nice job of playing a commenter asking questions about changing the yoke instead of swapping connectors. We like guest appearances.

You're looking at thei the wrong way Joe. That monitor is sleek and efficient. By having no monitor board, it's less to go wrong eh?

Nice job Joe ! I had to put my sunglasses on when you fired up that second monitor! 😂😂 . Always enjoy your solo videos and we even got a Ron voice cameo in this one ! Great work 👍

Yeah, those tube rejuvenators. I saw on another channel where an old TV repairman had said that their main purpose was zapping the tube to get it limping back along until they could order & receive a new tube to replace it. If you got long term results from it, you just got lucky.

Not so much an arcade guy. Pinball is my bag. But interesting video. Now about that Super Mario Pin in storage… ;)

that was a sad surprise in the cabinet. wow thats a lot of monitor parts. sad to think all monitors will be extinct at some point. those gun games were fun.

I think someone will find an investment opportunity when it gets to the point where CRT monitors are unsustainable to repair and keep going.

There's something called the Pareto principle - the 80/20 rule - you can get an arcade system to an 8 in 20% of the time it takes to make it a 10 .

"I have no idea what's wrong with it." Really? You know what's wrong with all of them. "It's broke!"

Not that I am looking, have you ever run across the classic upright Battlezone with the scope? Atari even developed two modified units for the Armed Services for training. From what I read, one was destroyed, and the other is in the hands of a private individual.

You say you have loads in storage, have you removed the battiers in case they leak and do more damage to the boards?

MATT or RON, Does the Yoke RINGS setting change the Yokes Resistance measurement? or Why does a Yoke have a resistance measurement because a Yoke is just bare wire wound wrapped around a magnet. The Yoke RINGS are for the Red Blue Green colors so the Yoke Rings must change the resistance of the Yoke?
@SiaVidsАй бұрын
The rings do not change anything electrically, they are ring magnets and influence the position of the electon beams by magnetism.
@waynegram8907Ай бұрын
@SiaVids The Yoke Rings are magnetics that are redirecting the magnetic field of the RGB electron beam guns? Convergence means that the RGB electron beam guns are in Alignment?

At some point the best we will be able to do is converting to a LCD unfortunately
@LyonsArcadeАй бұрын
Gun games won't work with an LCD
@LarryBlowersАй бұрын
@LyonsArcade right, most flash a square around the target for the gun to pickup so many of those will be toast at least many others will be saved that way, unless someone starts rebuilding tubes again, one TV mueaseam I guess has a rebuilding line but last I saw no one actually had mastered the skill of building guns and rebuilding tubes. There's videos on here about it.
