Peep when he said.. "I worked for the National Bank of Israel". This man is on this show playing stupid. He's very smart and calculating. He saw a business opportunity to control a new medium of music and used his jewish business connections to make it happen..
@Photomeike6 жыл бұрын
My mans said he was only making $14,000 a year like it won't nothing. $14,000 a year is equal to $45,000 a year in 2018 after inflation. That ain't to bad for a guy in his early 20's with the potential to make more. Also he didn't borrow $700 to throw the whole party, he was short $700. Which means he could have used $9,300 of his own money and borrowed the last $700 for an even $10,000. And made $30,000 from the party which is equal to $96,000 in 2018. Bro been making money from the jump.

It's very simple. These artists get audiences. Asking why promote artists with violence and drugs is like asking why the wine and cigarette industry exists, or why violent movies are made. Because people wanna buy it.
@Peachcobler222 ай бұрын
@@armaanchowdhury1690I beg to differ. People often buy what is marketed and presented to them. Marketing is a very very potent and manipulative tool. There's a reason why companies pump millions into marketing and promoting their products. As such, when degeneracy and violence is always what is presented and marketed to the public, that will result into them buying into it. Not forgetting that this particular genre of music targets in particular young people who are not socially conscious and understand the long term implications of consuming such toxic music.

@ShotsMerkzAll6 жыл бұрын
Can you explain why? He seems kinda sweet, maybe I’m being deceived
@isreltracey17566 жыл бұрын
Shots, yeah you're being deceived... he's had many years of experience. That itself is his area of expertise. But to keep it short as possible in summary. Notice how when asked about how other artist claimed they were being treated unfairly, he always answered a question with a question like "how?" rather than just saying "not true" then he kind of flips it with a slick saying to divert your attention from the issue. He also in the end, tells them before the end of the show, to caption the interview nice. But uses a slick saying to do so, which was actually a threat. But inbetween all that, he's telling how he come about signing hiphop artist. Though he eluded, he was basically saying that he seen that there was money to be made and a lot of it for him by doing so. He was only 19 when he started signing artist which means his peoples already had the money to invest. which happens to be the jewish community.
@isreltracey17566 жыл бұрын
Shots... He is basically saying that you are nothing more than a commodity to him. A source of income. An investment with incredible returns. That he will bleed dry at all cost as long as possible. He talks as if he is concerned about the artist but leaving out the part that he only feeds them breadcrumbs while he sits back and gets extremely richer. This interview is a rare look at the ones in charge of the hip hop culture. Also notice when he mentions he doesn't like artist using drugs but couldn't answer why he signs artist that promote drugs through their music. He only cares about making money that's it and not the culture. Even if it means he is aiding in destroying it, he doesn't care as long as he profits from it. Because in the end of the day, its not HIS culture he is actually destroying. His personality is somewhat likeable but in no way to be trusted. He is running deception. And its critical that you are able to see through it when encountered. Or you become the victim.

He sounds like a con artist to me. Especially when he started to talk about "he doesn't work with junkies", then he turn around and he said "it's talent over issues", then he said, "I don't give up on people"...and when Charlamange asked, "well, why would you sign an artist that promote drugs?" He says, "well um, I have a family to feed and I told you it's talent over issues."....Seems like alot of bull to me.

Kendall S.W. You’re too simple to understand the difference between working with a drug addict versus working with someone rapping about using drugs. Con artist don’t give you contracts to sign that hold up in court smart guy. This is what a business man looks like

Kendall S.W. When you’re working with the millions he’s working with, a junky’s issue isn’t his. A junky rapper that’s talented and that’s bringing in millions of dollars and fan base tops everything. Also when that hot and popping dope fiend rapper dies he’ll own their publishing and masters. You see how that works??? It’s very ugly but it’s chess not checkers.

THIS IS DISGUSTING TO ME This man came across as more than a culture vulture. Vultures eat you after you die. He's more like an eagle that flies prey high into the air and then drops it so he can consume it. Sometimes plays with it in the air. WE SHOULD NEVER LET ANOTHER EXPLOITATION LIKE THIS, HAPPEN TO US 1. "I was never a B-Boy I was always me. The authentic me." - You were just never a part of the culture. That wasn't your purpose. 2." I didn't want to be an executive or an artist. Back then we were making it all up." - You then clarified that you had NO experience. It wasn't that you didn't want to be an executive or an artist. You just were neither. You had no purpose so you hung out until you found an opportunity. 3. You became a financial analyst. Your mom got you the job. Then you threw a show. You borrowed $700 from your Mom and made like 3 times more than you were making as an analyst. The rappers probably got very little of that if anything because they were all unsigned. So a guy who had no skill (by his own admission) was able to capitalize on the racism of the time by getting venues that were being withheld from "little black kids". 4. Then you try to school black people on THEIR culture. I know you guys don't know who Whodini is... Whodini is US. Their voices sounded like our voices. Their style was OUR style. It's you who didn't know WHAT they were. So you lost money on them. 5. You came up with "Whose house." LOL. "I had to CHECK Joey and tell him this is your house." That is so cringe-worthy. Like taking credit for a period at the end of a sentence that you didn't write. 6. So Lyor, how did you find so much talent so fast - "THAT WAS ALL RICK RUBEN" "Now YOU GUYS respond positively to that Def Jam sleeve but Rick Ruben spent hours...." YOU are a part of "YOU GUYS". That wasn't you. That was Rick Ruben. You had nothing to do with that sleeve. You were just there. 7. "Then I got lazy and got hit by greed and lack of focus." Off of your first profit? You got hit by grade and got lazy on your first profit. You decided then that you'd exploit the living daylights out of artists from then on. 8. "People are winning today, too easily." - LOL!! You had no talent or skill except for borrowing your mom's money and hoping that the talent of black artists would draw a crowd. Artists who walked off stage because they didn't respect you. Artists whose talent you didn't understand. 9. "I never signed an artist because I was afraid of losing him." But then later you talk about how you could sign an artist while he was still in the club while other companies were trying to get approval. It sounds like signing people up fast was important to you. 10. You checked Charlamagne on his own show. You asked him if he was going to keep interrupting you. I heard that. 11. You're trying to tell people about Queen Naija after they already know about her. You're telling the Breakfast Club about her and they're showing you youtube videos of her. YOU'RE LATE. You're not cutting edge. 12. "Labels want to sign smart people. They're tired of the ignorance." LOL. Labels need smart people because they don't have them. 13. Labels have gone down and Google has gone up so you snakes are trying to figure out how to leave the business you destroyed and find the next pot of gold. More exploitation coming. WE NEED TO TAKE OUR POWER BACK FROM YOU AND PEOPLE LIKE YOU. 14. "It's impossible to break new artists. It's so hard. I got lucky. Even a broken clock is right twice a day." - YOU TOLD THE TRUTH RIGHT HERE! YOU TOLD EVERYONE YOUR SECRET TO SUCCESS. GUESSING AND BETTING ON BLACK TALENT. 15. Drake shook your hand. Drake was already with Jaz Prince, J Prince and Rap-a-Lot. People who actually found talent when no one was looking for Drake. 16. Now people are back to being able to make money off of a $700 investment on KZbin and you're following them to exploit them again. 17. You sent your kids to college off of Sucker MC. You're golfing with white guys who want to know how you got there and you say "Sucker MC". You might as well be saying - "Off of black people." 18. You're trying to "get the industry healthy". - WE WANT IT TO DIE AWAY. 19. You admitted with a bunch of rhetoric that you would let an artist keep drinking Lean and still let them be your artist but you'd tell them that they're a junkie. Angela asked you "Would it concern you enough not to work with them." You said No. Then you said nothing good happens with junkies. Apparently except for you. You can still make a dollar off of them before they die. 20. Then you say the rappers were bringing a spotlight to the dangers of crack. LOL. That's what you told them to say back then. Rappers made selling drugs cool back then and that caused the crack epidemic to boom. Gang members have admitted this over and over again. 21. Charlamagne asked you why you'd sign an artist who promotes opioids. You got mad and said you were OPPORTUNISTIC because you have "people to feed". -- That's the vulture. 22. You admitted that Jewish executives told YOU to drop Chuck D but you brought him to the Holocaust Museum instead. Well yeah, he was money to you. But why are Jewish people telling you what black people can say and can't say? 23. You don't know DAME DASH - but then you give the names of the whole Rockafella crew and tell the interviewers to go talk to them because "YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY TO THAT." Why are you doing this interview? LOL. SO MANY LIES MR. COHEN 24. Where do you see the future of music going? --- "I don't predict. I don't predict. I don't really predict culture." WELL THEN WHY ARE YOU CONSIDERED TO BE AN EXPERT ON BLACK MUSIC? WE CAN PREDICT IT. WE HAVE TONS OF PEOPLE WHO CAN PREDICT THAT. WHY ARE YOU THE GATEKEEPER? ARE YOU EVEN THE GATEKEEPER? 25. Then you end the interview asking black media to be more kind and gentle like they were in the 1980s. LIKE IN THE 1980'S WHEN YOU GOT OVER ON ALL OF US!! HOW DARE YOU TELL US ABOUT WHAT'S COMING OUT OF NIGERIA AND HOW WE'RE GOING TO FEEL IT. WE ARE DESCENDENTS OF NIGERIA. WE BROUGHT IT OVER HERE. SOMEONE GET THIS WHITE MAN OUT OF OUR CULTURE. THIS WHOLE INTERVIEW WAS SICKENING. IT SHOULD GO DOWN IN HISTORY AS A WHOLE NEW SLAVERY. BLACK PEOPLE WE HAVE TO LEARN FROM THIS AND BE SMARTER.
