Thank You Vlad Kreimer for such an important and amazing instrument that the Lyra-8 is. I am a 74 year young woman and appreciate what a blessed gift you have provided me with, in the lyra-8. Your work is providing a clearing of space for expressions of hope, peace, sadness, and grief in such a troubled world... I think that you are a prophet in the nonlinear, changing with your instrument's voices, our existence in this world for the better. I remain always amazed and grateful for your time and work for us in this most important matter. Thank You.

I just bought a lyra 8 as my birthday present and am absolutely blown away by its bizarre sonic landscapes. I own a lot of synths and other instruments which i love but the way its sounds are touching me is hard to describe in words. With the turning of one knob from sheer harmonic beauty to twisted desolate industrial sonicscapes. Its some sort of deeper interaction going on when i play it for a while, maybe something like synchronizing with the flow of the machine and vice versa. You, Mr.Kreimer are a genius. Thank you.

I’ve bought one. When I’m 98 and I’m a care home It will be my life support system. Even if I have arthritis Lyra will be making me laugh, cry and get trippy!!

Great video, performance, setting, people leaving... I love it. I prefer this to 99% of the electro beat "live jamming" videos on KZbin.
@gnarlysoundscapes72105 жыл бұрын
Yeah, most synth people just leave one monotonous sequence running for 5 minutes while they twiddle the filter knob a little. Drives me nuts.
@MarkoDeLaVoota5 жыл бұрын
Gnarly Soundscapes , I guess Tangerine Dream is not your band :/ their sequences were running even longer :)
@gnarlysoundscapes72105 жыл бұрын
@@MarkoDeLaVoota I'm not that familiar with them, but the few of their tracks I've heard, they had a lot more going on than the average KZbin jammer. Repetitive sequence but with lots of trippy/dreamy sounds on top of it... or no sequence at all and just trippy/dreamy sounds. I dig that. It's just jammers who make a rocking techno sequence but don't know what to do with it that annoy me. They just tentatively poke at one knob and I'm thinking "argh, that synth has a keyboard and 20 other knobs on it, and you haven't touched any of them!" xD

Fantastic performance, working that Lyra-8 as a mighty roaring noise machine. So many user demos are so sedate, almost like they're afraid to get wild on it, just simple drones, playing like an organ, but you show that Lyra-8 is so much more.

Amazing and truly strange synth. We used it at a seminar and residency in 2017 and people were just blown at the ambience, subtlety and sonic dimensions of the Lyra.

hello I am on the waiting list for a Lyra 8, but I have 1 beginner question, as I want to play music in specific tunes such as 432 hz and all the solfeggio notes such as 528 hz etc. Is the Lyra 8 able and easy to tune into one of those tunings? Do I need any scaling controllers to plugin in order to be clear about the tuning notes?
@alanbg22786 жыл бұрын
i'm waiting too and have some of the same interests but why bother ? the philosophy is "listen to yourself". Maybe this instrument will enable us both to discover new cadences, new sonic relationships ? Just intonate ! Hope it works for you
