The crane sang happily, and and went around in big circles over the young man's head, and dissapeared into the sky. He sent off the crane, and he had no more business to go to the town. The young man slowly returned to the mountain, the way he had come. It happened the morning of the next day. A beautiful girl who he had never seen before approached. And then, "Please make me your bride", she said. "Of course not. As you can see I am a poor charcoal maker. If I have a bride, I can not even feed her." The young man refused, but the girl said "If you will take me for your bride, no matter how poor we are I don't mind," she said like that, and came to live with the young man. The young man's life completely changed. When he woke up in the morning, there was already a warm fire burning in the fireplace. When washing his face, "Breakfast is ready," his pretty wife called. His wife knows very well the delicious food in the mountain, and prepares it well. She also keeps the inside of the house clean, and her work goes on and on. "The wife coming to my place is like a dream." The young man seems to be happy. It happened one day. "While cleaning the hut behind the house, I found a dusty loom. May I please weave? However, while I am weaving, please never look inside," his wife said, and entered the hut, and closed the door. Night and day, he heard the sound of weaving from within the hut. "Aren't you hungry? The young man lay down in front of the fireplace, and drank sake while waiting. Giii pattan gigiii pattan (weaving sound) Then, even though it came to be the evening of the fourth day, the loom was still sounding. "I wonder why she is so slow." The young man stood up, and secretly opened the door of the hut, and looked inside. "Wow! What is this?" The young man was surprised and petrified. Amazingly, inside the hut there was one slender crane weaving intently. With its bill, the crane was pulling out feathers from its body one by one, and was weaving the cloth from them. "Now at last, I finished weaving. But, because you see me in this appearance, I can not stay here anymore. I am the crane that received help from you. So, take this cloth to town, and please live happily. Goodbye." Saying that the crane, painfully spread her plucked wings, "Kururuuu" she cried once and took off into the sky. I know that the actual story is really sad, but I don't like sad stuff, so here's a happier interpretation: So Rin is actually the crane that Len saved, yeah that's still the same. Yada yada, Len gets sick and Rin weaves with her feathers, yada yada. However, instead of at the end they both die, I'm just going to keep telling myself that Rin actually made enough money just in time to cure Len, except she grew weak since she wasn't taking care of herself. However, now Len is healthy, and so at the end he's promising that after Rin took care of him when he was weak, he'll take of her now and that she can finally rest and stop overworking herself.
