That’s a wicked looking sword. The ray skin saya looks cool, I’m looking forward to seeing how it cuts, and glad to hear you’re getting back at it. (In unrelated news, I was just telling Karl earlier that I’ve never had a more difficult time adjusting to the feel of a blade than I have with a katana…hahaha take care brother)

Tsukamaki looks good. Is that cotton? Best tsuka I had was cotton wrapped. Think it shrinks over time and gets tighter.
@samuraibyrd2 жыл бұрын
Yeah,well probably synthetic cotton polymer stuff,lol. Hmmm,that makes sense considering cotton clothes shrink over time. I think i like suede and leather better than cotton or silk though,lol
@KF12 жыл бұрын
@@samuraibyrd One test is to burn a fiber with a lighter. Cotton will ash, but synth will always melt. Though a blend, I dunno!? btw glad you're making videos. Sword community seems brighter again.

That kashira is very ornate

It brings to mind some techniques I've seen where they strike with the kashira before drawing. Opponent would already be done from that one.
