One of the things that impresses me the most about Hickok is that he always remembers how to disassemble and reassemble all these different guns he gets from fans or gun shops, etc. It can't be easy to remember, sure you can muddle through it but it takes a long time and you don't want to do that in front of a camera.

Redemptioner123 Loading baskets work via Leprechaun dust, you may need to sing your basket an Irish drinking song for it to work. I sang to it, and gave it a little whiskey and now it's even reloading for me.

Very cool. FYI Recon Ordnance used to be the place to get quality metal mags for the M11/9. Dunno if they still are or not. Also Lage makes a .22 conversion kit for both the stock M11/9 and his Lage MAX-11 uppers. Lots of fun.

I had a MAC-10 9/45 so it had the larger frame of the .45 model but was chambered in 9mm. It was easy to fire in full auto one handed. What made the gun hard to shoot accurately was the big heavy bolt being shoved forward when you pulled the trigger, i.e. the gun moved before the bullet fired. This didn't matter at typical drug gang conflict resolution distances. It would be fine for vehicle defense, but not for every hostage rescue scenario which is why the MP-5 was chosen by law enforcement teams and military teams like the SEALS. That said, the Israelis used it at Entebbe for just that. They chose it for it's high rate of fire as they wanted to be able to immediately take out as many bad guys as possible. It was fun to shoot.

The metal magazines you have are Argetinian and the feed lips are too tall. Remove 1/16 from the top and they will perform 100% with most ammo, even 158g subsonic. Regards

Lance W Best thing would be a uzi mag conversion, but I would not do this to a 5000 dollar NFA gun and not to any gun unless I wanted to have alot of magazines. its easy to bend the lips untill it works fine and then heat treat them so they stay correct

Hey hickok 45, I know this is unorthodox but I thought I would just leave a comment and ask. I am a college student in South Dakota and I live on a ranch and farm and I have been shooting guns all my life but I recently bought a 1920 winchester model 94 .32 special and I didn't know if you have one of this weapons at the compound but if you did it would be very interesting to have a video on it. Sorry, Mr. Hickok, but if I ever invent a machine gun, I won't be hiring you as a sales rep. If I've learned one thing from your videos, it is that automatics may be fun but they are terribly impractical. I think you would be far more lethal with one of your glocks or a semi-auto assault rifle than with one of these grease guns.

***** Both of you please shut it. Weapons like this are good CQB weapons and that's all. Also hand gun cartridges are VERY weak compared to any "real" rifle caliber. So getting 3 in the chest on your enemy/attacker in this weak caliber very quickly makes them much more lethal, and much more effective at stopping the person on the receiving end. They are not intended for any kind of real range. At least not automatic pistols, carbines are much more controllable and good for longer range, but they are also a very niche item, as why have a pistol caliber carbine that's automatic, when you could just have a carbine in a intermediate rifle caliber like 5.56x45.

I fully agree with you Heather. The honorable Hickok45 is a maestro with almost any pistol and shows us a glimpse of what true marksmanship is. With the full autos's he's more like a thrill seeking 20 something. Still a great video, but the careful aiming of a handgun is the skill we need (which he did point out)

The SMG only has more rifling because it has a longer barrel lol. You do realize twist rate has a very negligible effect only muzzle velocity. At least with traditional rifling, with the newer polygonal rifling it has even less of an effect and normally higher muzzle velocity. This is why Glocks tend to have about the same muzzle speed for X caliber regardless of the barrel length (pistol obviously) So back on topic, the much longer barrel of the SMG would increase the muzzle velocity quite a bit I am sure. I am also sure it uses traditional rifling. I am also quite sure regardless of if it's a 9mm pistol or a 9mm carbine, it's not going to be much of a difference in what the rifling count is. 1 or 2, not like it's going to go from a 1:16 twist to a 1:7 twist. And as to 9mm not being powerful, it only offers in standard pressure ball 350ft/lb now compare that to a intermediate caliber rifle cartridge (still not up to full power rifle calibers) Such as .223Rem/5.56 or 7.62x39 and they are putting out 1200-1450 ft/lb of muzzle energy, a huge increase. Now look at full power battle rifle calibers such as 7.62x51, 7.62x54, .30-06 etc. You are now up to 2600-3400 ft/lb of muzzle energy. Now will 9mm stop someone, of course. I'm not saying it wouldn't it has been stopping people since the Germans invented it. So has every other pistol caliber. But the difference is, the rifle cartridges stand a very very realistic chance of stopping someone with 1 hit vs multiple. Add LSD, PCP etc. into the mix where someone thinks they can stop a train and doesn't feel pain and you are not in the best situation if an armed drug addict for example is attacking you. Now with the advance of bullet technology in the last 30 years 9mm has become MUCH more lethal. But that's true for all common caliber hand gun ammunition. Personally I carry a .45ACP caliber pistol with Speer Gold Dots. Twice the mass, (230grain bullets vs 115) larger diameter, larger expanding projectile, near perfect penetration. But I also still acknowledge that it's woefully underpowered compared to any of my rifles (excluding my .22lr rifles of course.), and not likely to stop anyone with 1 shot. Unless I get lucky and shoot them in the heart with the first shot. (and I can shoot very well, I still consider in a "gun fight" to shoot someone in the heart at 20-40' with 1 shot extremely lucky.)
