I appreciate youall hanging out during the intermission, and making chitchat and historical weightlifting talk - and general badinage. Also, your videographer deserves some maximum praise. So many random shots captured giving the overall flavor of the experience there at the competition.

To the commentators, the Russian lifter you're referencing, who started the whole power jerk thing, was Victir Sots.

Terrific snatching by the young Turk,not so much in the jerk. I am reminded of the outstanding Belorussian lifter Rybakou from 10-20 yrs ago; starting cl&jk 10 kilos more than final snatch.

Seb do you know if Sinclair’s formula has changed? I looked up several lifters’ Sinclairs on IWF’s website, and the results were drastically different from the past, like Lu’s 475(474?) before and 496 now, both for his 380kg total as a 77. The superheavy’s sinclairs were unchanged though, but that means many lifters’ Sinclairs have surpassed Lasha’s…If it does change, it would be great if you can make a video on it!

Why is it rare to see black weightlifters?
@michaellukashov4730 Жыл бұрын
we, blacks are smart (c) Black Panther 2
@khmak9387 Жыл бұрын
@@michaellukashov4730 Always assumed it is partly cultural, just like there are few black male tennis players, while they dominate track and field.
@thepeatboggy Жыл бұрын
@@khmak9387 also pretty sure black ethnicities are usually associated with limb proportions that are the opposite of classic weightlifters , (long limbs shorter body, as opposed to long body short limbs) tho idk the actual demographic stats for that

THE same reason its rare to see black swimmer😂😂😂
@Ok-oo2kh Жыл бұрын
@@khmak9387its not cultural at all,black pple are on all sports u can imagine,Theres way more black pple in the wrld than white, the reason is that black pple dnt have good genetics to strength, if u look at Strongmen and swimming competition, its hard to see black pple. They are good at tracks, tracks u see alot of blk athletes but in strengh sports its rare bc they failed alot

Aren't they supposed to lift more as 96 bodyweight? Looks like not elite division

what advantage would lifters have if they wore gloves? i think none and they could lift more comfortable and even move more weights

nah it would be worse. you'd actually have much worse grip as the gloves slip in between your hand and the bar

How on earth the 89 division lifts mkre than the 96?

Olympic category and surplus talent. Also the chinese team tends to not succeed past 89kg.
@jason561120 Жыл бұрын
For example the Italian lifter is 89kg, he moved up to 96 to get a better chance at success. The talent pool at 89kg is deep!

@@myco9253you certainly don’t know TianTao do you?

@@leonwang9389 That’s one lifter. Every other category is filled with chinese talent, yet once you go above 89 team China dries up. Tian Tao is the exception not the the rule.

DO NOT BUY the weightlifting house knee sleeves. Just done my first heavy session with them (only up to 160 on back squats) and the right knee sleeve split down the middle, they’re a shoddy cheaply made load of crap
@WeightliftingHouse Жыл бұрын
We are so sorry to hear that has happened to your sleeves. We really pride ourselves on our products and so believe this to have been a one-off faulty product. Please email support@weightliftinghouse.com and we'll get it all taken care of for you. Very sorry again.

because armenians are indoctrinated from a young age to hate turks, beacause they lost in WW1(100 years ago). Its like if whole europe still would teach its children to hate de germans for WW2
