The mine combos in SFV were some of the most satisfying and awesome feeling to land. They were very hard to get consistent or rolling because it was tied to V Trigger. I’m glad they leaned more into that gameplay style for this version of him it looks so cool and I’m glad he’s returning to the roster.

Someone pointed out to me that his Psycho Crusher has the blue around him instead of purple like in SF2 games.

Ed's psycho power effects are also more blue mixed with purple. Maybe a change in art direction.

Bison's Psycho Power has been Blue, Green, Purple, and Violet historically through SF games and art. Capcom are combining them all in SF6. The implication is that he uses the Blue/Green/Violet for lesser attacks, and goes full purple when he wants to blow you up. A nice nod to all his history.

either a nod, or actual lore. in world tour, there's a story around shadaloo trying to find bison, they found a figure that has potential power same as bison, in mexico, riding a horse. and at the beginning of the trailer, he seemed that he doesn't know who he is. I think his power is unstable now, that's why we see greyish blue and purple. we can also see winning round animation he's trying to control his arm. i guess some kind of two conflicting souls reside in him, one his evil bison intent and the host's

Minor note here. Guile-Bison is even in ST. Some people give Guile 5.5 but it is by no means a bad MU. Incidentally this is also true of Boxer-Dictator in ST. Bison being good into Rog and bad into Guile is a SF4/V thing

The only thing i don’t like is the hood. I think the design would have worked a lot more if he took the hood down at the start of the match. They gave him long hair for the first time and we don’t even see it.
