Sir. Initially square threaded rod dia shown as 16mm. Later you are showing slotted hole dia as 11mm. U agree with me that, 16mm dia bolt will not go in the 11mm dia slotted hole. Correct me if I am wrong. I understand 65 mm height wood used for fixed and movable jaw. Thickness of wood is 40 mm of beach wood and 20 mm hard wood. But you didn't mention the width if vise. I guess about 250 mm. Is it we must guess 250 mm or 300 mm or 400 mm depending on our requirement. Sir please clarify. I am fascinated with your work. 🤙

Thank you for your comment. The 11mm means that the hole was shifted 11mm, not the diameter, and processed into an oval shape. Sorry for the confusion. The width is 300mm. Please continue to point out any oddities.😇

To save welding the nuts to metal plates you can instead recess them into the wood to fix them in position.

That’s what i did and his version’s way better, saving way more time. It took me a whole night to chisel out the wood and them holes were still not perfect. His will guarantee you have perpendicular holes.
