One thing I don't understand though is how do they perfect those car crashes? The person intended to be put in the cryonic chamber might very well just die in the crash, right?

I think their cars are fine. There probably was no crash. They just lie to them about how they got there, like when they told them they were knocked out by a storm.

I see one major problem, when David Pilcher aka the doctor in Wayward Pines is talking to Hassler, Ethans' boss, about Ethan and the "car crash" he is not young as in the flash backs, how is that possible? Why would Hassler try and stop it, his words in that scene. Why not just recruit people who wanted to be saved instead of all the bullshit. Then only after Ethan starts causing trouble do they jump back in time and show his wife and kid being "crashed". I like the show but way to many plot holes, like most of his movies.

In the book, he tells people about the town, then is attacked and ridiculed. Also, Pam is his adopted daughter in the books.

Yes, I agree. Also, Ethan's wife, Teresa and son, Ben were looking for Ethan and they ended up at this gas station with a bunch of boys who looked like the first generation. They were trying to phone Ethan on his cell and went to his boss many times. The only way Ethan's wife got a lead was going through classified information at the FBI's computer at the desk. Seems like everyone forgot about this part? However, during the video clip they discovered inside the tunnel, it was the face of Ethan's boss Adam Hassler who appeared on the video recording. I think he too was thrown into this experiment against his will. Either way, it is useless making a season 2 because NOBODY ever gets out of Wayward Pines. NOBODY means NOBODY plus, Ethan's son, Ben is not as well equipped to lead this fight for his way out like his father.

Madiison they didn't go to the real world they are just showing you the disicions that david pilcher and others who joined him did in the past before building the city it's a way of explainning the past and the reasons of building wayward pines ! Why would u think they go back to the real world don't you think if they really did they would have changed stuff so that they benefit from it ?

Season one was.. *chefs kiss* Just redo the last episode so Matt Dillon lives and tease about other ark like towns. Story telling was so great. It felt like they were trying to kill the show with season 2

Just finished watching season 2. Still pretty good. The nazi style 1st Generation kids were annoying, but finding out more about the abbys/abbies or however you spell it was pretty cool. So, I'll be looking forward to season 3 if it doesn't get cancelled.

How is he able to keep a job!?!? Seriously!? I read the books soon after the third episode. Right after we first saw the Abbey, I thought it was M. Night's stink...so I wanted to see if it was him or the story. When I finished the 3 books, I thought...hey, maybe this won't be so bad...then the finale hit...and I've never wanted to punch someone in the face so bad.

Almost passed on watching the series because of M. Knight's involvement... The guy thinks he's more clever than he is... all his plot twists are anti-climatic... He's riding on the fame of one good movie...

This show could have been incredible if they had just ended it with episode five. Yeah, it would have been incredibly short, but c'mon, dat twist doe. Plus, everything after the big reveal was so boring and predictable.

It was terrible! Why couldn't things just be like the book! In the book, they start to run out of food, so they all go into suspension for 75,000 years to see if the earth's climate will change or the Abbie situation changes. This whole first generation thing never happened. Also, in the third book when the Abbie's get into town, there is a woman named Mable playing solitaire, and an Abbie gets into her house. She yells at the Abbie, then speaks sternly to it, then kindly. The Abbie purrs, then the chapter ends. Did the author forget about her? What happened to Mable!?
