Cool video, but I beg to differ. I've had my M&P for about 2 weeks now and I haven't put it down since I've gotten it. I have a few M&ps now and this one's my favorite to shoot. This gun is awesome to me! So much fun!

Not delete, limit muscle flip. I own a medal and it is now in my three EDC pistols. The trigger and the comp works great. The PDP is a great great as well. I own 36 side arms and ten long guns. Been shooting 50 year's. My Sig Sauer 226 has been my favorite sidearm for 35 years.

Price point? Cost? .45, 9mm, .22? Over $3k, Wilson CQB 2011 9mm Under $3k, Sig Sauer P226 legion 9mm Under $600, SAR SOCOM 9mm(Awesome flat shooting gun in my EDC a bit heavy but very little recoil due to wait). My .45's are on another list. Ammo size and weight add to the fattest shooting capability more then then my platform. 5.7 is the flat estimate shooting gun I have. 5.7, 9mm, and .22lr in the lowest grain shot flat and plenty of distance out to 100 yards. Honestly, the best value are my two SAR's, a SOCOM and Carry in 9mm. One was purchased for $250 and the other for $525. I know it sounds crazy after owning a few FN's, Sig's, Glock's, Walther's, Wilson's, etc. The budget truck gun purchase are the ones I don't care about getting stolen but love shooting the most, crazy! I use Prolix CLP for dry lube and Cleanzoil CLP when I want a wet lube.

recoil doesnt always translate well into videos. it was softer to shoot than the others besides the TS9 but in the end, it doesnt make much of a difference practically speaking.

I have the shield ported and i would agree it does very little for recoil. Comparing it to my wifes Canik Mete MC9L is about the same. That being said i would say recoil matters very little for or me as a full grown strong man. For others like my wife and 13 year old son and elderly it can matter quite a bit. Just something i think you should think about before you say recoil doesn't matter...

you need to understand the context in which something is said in order to refute what it is. im comparing 9mm combat pistols and their recoil and saying it doesnt matter, which is true. if your wife or 13 year old son can handle one 9mm, they can handle them all. if they cannot handle a 9mm pistol, which they should be able to, then that is a matter of caliber and not comparing the recoil of different models of firearm which is a totally different discussion. sounds like a training issue in your case though as the majority of women and teenagers should be able to handle 9mm recoil

That front strap pops off if you put pressure on the side via the inside. I then put a small dot of super glue and 2k rounds its still in place.

I own the metal carry comp as well, I have to admit I am underwhelmed. I do think it is better than the normal M&P.

@@Men-Of-Arms I don’t think the comp/port in the front is big enough to negate as much recoil as it potentially could. Don’t get me wrong it does help with some recoil but not as much as I was expecting

I think the problem, if you can call it that, may be that the Carry Comp is oversprung. I don't think a 16lb recoil spring is necessary for a 9mm. A lighter spring would keep the barrel from dipping as much when the slide slams home which is what I think is going on here.

I bought the shield comp and am pretty disappointed for the money. I'm going to get this but haven't yet so can't compare. The Canik Mete mc9l or mc9ls are better and way better for the money. Much better triggers and recoil is so close to the same I can't tell the difference between the Shield and the Caniks. I believe this in the poly version may be good but again I haven't shot it yet so...

With iron sights, like I carry the sights picture is killer and the gun is beautiful. Trigger is straight m&p .

sometimes recoil doesnt translate well on camera but it is very light. as it should be with how big and heavy it is.

depends what you mean by reliability and durability. if you mean in adverse conditions, this gun has holes in the slide and barrel so its inherently unreliable for a combat environment. for normal people on duty and in a concealed carry role, perfectly fine. every gun is reliable outside of adverse conditions... its expected in 2024.
