My wife also carrys the Shield in 9mm and not one FTE/FTF. It has worked flawlessly in the 2 years she's been using it. Can't wait to get my hands on this new m2.0 version.

I was at a Gun Shop a while back. I saw and bought my first 40cal, A M&P 40cal Police Trade in for $267.49 total cost. Great Condition. The Trigger must had some work done for the police department. I love it. I feel like I stole it. I don't need a 2.0.

David Pyzik yeah I see they failed to mention that in the video. I for one like that they took the beavertail away since I appendix carry, but for competition and people's personal preference it would have been nice to include a beavertail backstrap instead of the medium large one

Love all the 2.0 upgrades, especially the Chamber Indicator that keeps the gun sealed but you removed the Beavertail!? Bring back the beavertail!, even a shortened one.

I got my Boss, He bought me a M&P 2.0 9x19mm as duty gun. I am a Bodyguard and I don't know any better gun for official use. Many If my Colleagues swear on a Walther P99 or a Heckler & Koch P8. I don't like both. I prefer the M&P series Gun and Revolver and the good old 1911 Style gun.

I love my 2.0 M.P 9MM. I would of gave it five stars... tan is a bit fragile already showing scratches from holster use.

The pistol is great, but slide-stop is a no-buy recommendation. All of my M&P require a press check or excess force to release the slide stop button.

I've watched a bunch of videos on this gun, and I've looked at a bunch of website reviews as well... NOBODY has mentioned what those two trapezoidal cutouts (under the "press check" serrations) on the lower receiver are for. Even Smith & Wesson's webpage doesn't mention anything about them -- and they weren't present on the old model. Anyone know what these are for?

After 12 years of incorrect designs, S&W finally got the cotton out of their ears and made the proper pistol size, the Glock 19 in an M&P package. The M&P 9 M2.0 Compact is the correct size. Replace the garbage sear from S&W with the Apex designed sear, and the M&P and Shield pistols are so much better.

I was hoping that the pre-SHOT Show release of the M2.0 models of the M&P was incomplete. S&W needs to make a Glock 19 size M&P pistol, but S&W is too stupid to make pistols that customers want. The 2.0 stuff is a joke without a 15-round 9mm model that customers want. It is amazing to see how ignorant a company can be. How long will S&W keep their heads in the sand?
