Another great hour - I thought it was a good idea to highlight great photographers on social media. Social media algorithms don't highlight great photographers (just number of followers etc.) and it's difficult to discover great work - this would be great for each episode. Your explanation of "why M" was spot on - it's the viewfinder. So this prompted me to think of a "Dear Leica Segment" or a "What if" discussion. What if Leica introduced a dual-range Summicron that worked with digital M bodies? One would say why when you have "live view" used with a close-up adapter - if I were going to use live view I would rather use my SL. It makes sense since one can stay within the superior M viewfinder - why we love the M. Second crazy discussion - What if Leica introduced a digital M3? My first M was an M3 (bought in 1974) and I still have it today. The best viewfinder in my opinion it is 1:1 and has superior frame lines for 50 - 90 - 135. I dislike the frame line for the 90 in later M models as it is difficult to compose with just 4 lines. Might be a fun discussion...
