Another great video ! You guys stayed at the same Marina my mom used to winter at with her boat in Sarasota. The Crows Nest Marina is great. The jetty there is a great spot too. Rob

Like you, I picked up on the bridge tenders accent right away. There's certainly a lot of us former NYrs (ok, I left the Empire State in '79 but it still counts right) in Florida. When we head south it's right around Jupiter that the water 'turns' from the browns of the Indian River Lagoon to the blue of the tropics.

While we'd like to say we simply picked up on his accent, what really happened was... on our previous time through, two weeks prior, he got very excited when he saw our hailing port and told us he was from Woodstock, NY. It was nice to make that connection. And it really is a magical moment when the water turns that color of blue. Another incredible change happens after a crossing to Key West when you turn into the northwest channel. We never take the beauty of nature for granted.

Our intention, of course, is never to make anyone jealous 🙃. Hard work and smart decisions along the way.
