Better sell bro from 2016 to 2020 they made very bad designs with many faults, I have 2018 i9 2,9ghz 32gb ram, great, some time ago keyboard failed was typing random keys, apple said oh sorry this was apple fault and they had 4 year warranty otherwise u have to pay 700$ to change because on these models u can’t change just keyboard it comes with all the bottom part and the battery and the good news is our keyboard warranty program just finished… ok moving forward, a month ago god screen failure, and again apple says on this model you can’t change that wire connecting your screen with board, you have to change new screen- cost - 786$…. And I saw on internet many many people had the same issues with these models. Of you didn’t had any problems yet you will later

Thanks 😊 It’s heaps better than the old one in terms of heat. I only hear the fan turn on if I’m exporting a large video project. Otherwise I basically never hear it. It’s great! The fan on my old one ran basically from as soon as it turned on haha

@@NickKendall I’m still rolling with my 2016 i7 mbp :) Likely to upgrade to at least ‘21 m1 in the next year or so. I think one of the things that made the touchbar kind of special was how it made a step closer to interacting with mac via touching directly onto the screen. And, its intuition with presenting options with different apps trumps any experience alternatively with the F keys that were there before on previous versions.

Thanks. Enjoyed the video. I'm considering an M1 or M2 machine, but for much less money I can get an i7 with twice the RAM (16gig vs 8gig). I suspect doubling the RAM on an i7 machine would make up for the 35-30% performance boost I'd get from and M1/M2. (I'm interested in video editing.) Is that the case? Is a 16gig i7 machine the best budget option here?

Well, I currently use an Intel Xeon iMac Pro with 32GB of memory at my work and my M1 Pro Macbook is still faster. And that's only with 16GB memory. Worth doing more research for sure but I'd maybe look more into the M2 depending on your budget.

I love using my M1 Mac Mini, M1 MacBook Pro and my I7 16" MacBook Pro. I have 2 other gaming Pc's and 2 HP Envy laptops but my macs I love the most.

I has the base M1 macbook pro with more ram and best part plays the games i wanted to play sadly not the older ones over 30fps at least i can play them now when my old gaming pc can't play them without overheating to me my brother says get a tower PC they will not much heat up than an laptop --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I got an macbook M1 with 16GB ram ( £699 only cost me that much with just a button sicking ) with 14GB ram - 2GB for OS if you tell me Windows is better sadly i can't tell Windows 11 trying to be macOS so bad or did they forgot what their people wants an OS that feel good and drop the ads they only did small amounts that not effect how i feel like Apple was trying APU that can mostly do what they wanted to do Basic task + Videos + Editing an video + Gaming are less likes to happen at least they got something with it working Sims 4 and Minecraft runs as well as my gaming pc failed me and turns off as 93c is not good for gaming with i know is feel like that cooker with 4 circle that get real hot that what my Windows PC made me feel like i was holding my hand on one of the rings

It s not worth the upgrade for me. I m using the i7 15" MacBook from 2018. I planned to upgrade when I just can't use my MacBook for university and work anymore. This will take a long time.

Brother I've been searching for a comparison video for weeks like this.... I'm super torn between the m1 with 8gb or a 2019 i7 with 16gb ram. That may be dumb of me but I edit videos and some say 8gb isn't enough with the M1 chip so better to go for the i7 16gb... am I being stupid haha? Buying tomorrow so hopefully someone can get let me know which is the better bet! Great video

Hmm yeah I’d possibly go for the M1 over the i7 but if you can get it with 16gb memory it would be ideal. I have 16gb and I kinda wish I had gotten 32gb sometimes. I’ve found my M1 Pro renders a lot faster than my old i7 (in Final Cut at least). Hope that’s helps!

well watching the benchmark, I didn't expect this. Personally I'm still running my first MacBook Pro retina from 2012 early, this week I added a egpu thanks to open core software, it's a sonnet puck xt5500 and in open cl with Geekbench 6 score more than 39000, not far from m1 pro. ok it's only 4 core so it clear no competition as far as cpu tasks, but I cannot see why a later intel i9 ,or i7, like a MacBook Pro 2019 or a iMac 27 5k, or a Mac mini i7, or even a Mac Pro 6,1 from 2013 cannot compete well . O focuses probably in near future you will lose apple supports for these machine. But my point is you can find amaxzing deal right now for intel machine from 2019 2020, while new m Mac are much more expensive,

Can't say for sure of course since I don't have a 2015 model, but I'd hazard a guess it would likely be a bit quicker. I reckon for photos you'd have no problems. My wife has an M1 Air with 8gb memory and I've using it for editing a couple of times and it was definitely good. I'd say it was maybe on par with my 2018 MBP. Hope that helps!

At least Apple try to make their PC as likeable as their users wants it I has an ge72mvr from msi and even it bug out even on basic task using the same OS as macbook runs I would choose to get 2020 M1 macbook pro - because 2021 may come with magsafe but the problem is mostly in a room that has no way of me walking past the cable because is play Sims 4 and Minecraft that the problem with the old one i has to use 1.19 on it as the other was making it heat up to 91c that for ge72mvr when is can't even Last longer than 1.7 hours without dying ( because is battery was the problem because i try to used it ( without 1 core active and still overheats like display is the problem nope is was not that as it rise faster even on Old TV that supports hdmi reaches 93c in mins after i try to play a 480p video that on a PC that can play Minecraft but video was too bad to keep it cool GTX 1070 moblie mostly overheats when i use them i can't tell if cex telling problems PC always overheat over basically every time that not ( Mostly CPU use like minecraft can play but Sims 4 can't even play even Sims 3 can't be play that with cooling pad on maximum speed i keep it for 1.3 years and now i using an macbook M1 16gb last longer than it and is was cheaper than my gaming pc which can't do anything 3D without it burning up only Minecraft like using something else than 3D

@@temubarrackslawyer don't know. probably in cpu task you have an advantage, but gpu no. and with an epgu , investing 500 dollar you can destroy the m2 as far as gpu intensive task, plus bigger monitor. less battery of course.

I hate touch sensitive buttons... It explains why I hated Samsung clamshell phones for the same reason.. The only snag is all i hate about Touchbar, is its all software controlled, which means depending on which app you use (and version of the app), they could change as "most frequent" "We" [developer] decides what is most frequent.. not end user using the app. Its a form of control. If it wasn't for that, maybe i'd like Touchbar...
