Awesome stuff. That view of the block, from the bottom, showing the empty clean pots right at the end, excellent stuff. Will be paying close attention to this series.

It will be difficult to source new knock sensor with wires attached to it. I bought some sensors from a later model year (they are pretty standard and have a connector) and soldered the wires to the sensor.

I'm still hoping to find a complete car and using all the parts from it.

Perfekt, gut gemacht 👍 Wieviel Kilometer hat der Motor, sieht eigentlich noch ok aus. Kein zu hoher Verschleiß. Sehr interessant weiter so.👍

if you had just put a bottle of coolant system cleaner in the motor, ran it, then flushed it out, drained, refilled it, the engine would have run just fine. it didn't need a rebuild, and unless you use all oem parts, the rebuild quality will probably be inferior to what MB had in there to begin with.

The coolant port was blocked solid. I'll post a new video soon but basically there are additional ports that need to be cleaned out because they too are blocked. Also, there was no way this engine was ready to install. The timing chain guides were not in the best shape. If you watch my M119 videos you'll know that I only use factory parts unless it's absolutely unavoidable due to parts not being available. I already have about $2500 in factory parts for this engine. I still have about another $5000 I need to buy.

I'm not 100% sure what I want to do with it. I WANT to put it in my W124 but I don't know if that will actually happen.
