That is an extraordinary transformation of a Condor HB - brilliant stuff. I am going to have to watch the video a few times there is so much information and an Aussie heeler to boot.

After watching this video over a year ago, I found one in really good shape and purchased it. And I have to say I like it much better than the large Alice pack I used in the army! Thanks for introducing me to this pack ATB Sam Adler

I laughed out loud when I saw your buddy sitting in the only bit of shade that was up there. Good find on that pack kinda hard to find those in good shape like yours. Man that is a shiny knife.

Awesome review and video, Woods! I love the frame by itself with some ALICE straps on it. Works great. Definitely interested in getting the full bag down the road.

Another nice video and share! I still use a large & medium ALICE for a lot of trips, but that one looks like a darn nice setup as well. Have the suspenders & belt setup also, but haven't been wearing it much lately. Mine is the later version belt with the clip rather than the toggle/clip style. I had one of those older style ones, but it seems to have wandered away/got lost somewhere... Really like the mods to the knife! Looks like you & Dinga had another fine trip up & back. Good stuff! Thanks! :-) JB

not a collector really, but more of an enthusiast...i enjoy the older cotton canvas myself, thats what i was issued in 71 so i reckon i'm a bit biased anyways...thanks Tom...woods

+MTwoodsrunner didn't make as much noise as this .nylon stuff
@MTwoodsrunner8 жыл бұрын
kabaruser thats true...though it did have some problems in wet humid environments...but even the nylon M67 gear had its limitations and would dry out and crack if over exposed to direct sun...over time of course! plus it would melt when an ember from a cig or fire landed on it...i think about that everytime i shoulder a petrolium based rucksack...atb...woods

It's a very nice pack, that i've been trying to pick up for quite a while now. I only ever see them in pretty bad shape. It is a good design in the A frame pack evolution.

This video was very enjoyable I learned a lot of history about seven bags of people have so I have a question for you question One the Alex part was made for what war to what the Molly 2 made for what war what years and do you have a video of you going through all your stuff so basically what's in your bag video

Howdy Ranger!...The Alice Pack was developed in 1973 just before the end of the Vietnam war...it was not issued to combat troops during Vietnam however,,,we were issued the tropical lightweight ruck and another pack called the jungle ruck. Both of those packs resembled the ALICE somewhat, and that explains the confusion many people have today thinking the ALICE was used in Vietnam when in fact it was not. The Alice pack was issued to our troops from 1975 and was used throughout the Gulf War in Kuwait and well into the 1990's. The molle system was developed and used During the war in Iraq and Afghanistan in the late nineties and is still in use today. Sorry Ranger i do not have a loadout video up...Thanks for watching amigo...atb...woods

Apparently these packs aren’t cheap.... The WWII versions actually go for cheaper! Though between the two I’d rather have the 1952 edition.

Those things are getting very expensive now..put it aside as a collectible..Don't use it.
