I JUST ordered my M2 Pro 16” 32gb 1TB and I am so excited. I am coming from a 2018 Intel i5 13” 4thunderbolt model and it’s a great little computer but my hobbies and jobs have changed since. I am really excited. More money than I’ve ever spent on a computer before but never the less I am stoked.

Still using my 15” MacBook Pro from 2015! That’s the longest tenured laptop I’ve ever had. Thinking of finally replacing it with a 16” MacBook Pro. Can’t decide whether I should buy the 14” MacBook Pro or the 16” MacBook Pro. I”ve been going back an forth.

I work for a school district. When we get ipads or anything that comes with apple stickers we hide them around one of our techs offices who hates apple. It's entertaining and about as good of a use for those stickers as I've ever found

Thanks for the initial look! I held out way too long for a 15'/16" Mac Air (to replace my 13" 2010), finally gave up and got my 16" M1 MBP two years ago. Overpowered for what I use it for, but the screen/speakers are so cool; won't replace it with the M2, just use the M1 until the OS is no longer updated (and I'll probably be gone by then). Still fun to look at the new toys, however. Thanks!

Did you figure out a way to prevent the wrist discomfort from the sharp edges? I want to keep the 16 inch but I do a lot of writing and it's irritating that it's so sharp.

Do you have any idea why the sound from the internal mic was panned hard left? Did you do that, or was that just the way it was recorded?

hey man nice video. So i have the base model macbook pro 2021 and i bought the macbook air m2 when it came out. in the summer when i only had the 2021 model sometimes it was turning off. maybe one time so not alot but when I was in Greece that happened. and i was inside the house and had air conditioning on. The weather in Greece in the summer gets really hot like 100 degrees farenheit. and in the winter depends if u are close to the sea or in the mountain it gets cold either humid cold or cold like normal city cold. my question is if my macbook air 2 isnt turning off this year in the summer when i'm in greece should i buy the macbbok pro base model m2? or should i wait to save more money and buy maybe the next gen in 2025? and dont get the base model but buy like a max version of a model. my concern is that i want to be on hot weather (inside the house of course) and have tons of windows open and programs and plugins doing music without worriying that its gonna shut down and lose my progress. i also dont like the notch on the mac. i'm hoping for next gen they will find a way to minimize the notch like on the iphone with the island thing feature.

I believe your discomfort with this chasis of macbook is mainly caused by size of your hands, I got mine 16" and never had this kind of problem, but truth is that the edges are sharp af.

I would love to see a video where you compare both M1 and M2 Macbook Pro's while playing WoW (and if possible retail instead of classic due to the more demanding system requirements). I have a 16" M1 Macbook Pro (cheapest model) from work but occasionally it crashes while playing WoW. I am wondering if the M2 has some improvements over the M1. Other than that, great video as always 😉

how is the base model m2 mac mini SSD speeds did they do the same thing as the other m2 chips and cripple the ssd speeds with only one 256gb chip vs 2 128 chips?

As a Windows 10 user, I would like to see how you open a web browser on the MacBook since I watch a lot of KZbin videos! I also use Gmail for mail. My biggest fear is if I switch to Apple from Windows 10, can I feel comfortable with the new computer?

LOL watching how non-enthused you are made me realize you must have the M1 and then confirmed. But we all know the hardware except the chip is identical, so going through everything wasn't super productive. Seeing you plaw WoW or do some work would be more interesting. But my big takeaway, if you are an M1 Macbook Pro owner, you won't be getting the new toy feeling with this upgrade.

If you are still using an intel powered MacBook Pro, now is the time to upgrade. The spec bump and overall success of Apple Silicon should make clear that it is not a failure. It’s a MASSIVE upgrade over the intel 16” MacBook Pro.

I have to say that it’s not a waste of money but most people do not need it. It’s a minor spec update not a major upgrade. It’s only a upgrade and different maker for certain tasks and jobs. If it’s not for you and your purpose doesn’t mean it’s a waste of money. Buy the M1 Pro if it works better for you. 2 years down the road you’d be happy the M2 pro and max exist if you were buying older MacBooks because that’s all you need.
