I agree, I have HP 360 and it is completely black. It has also no fingerprints. Regarding performance, certainly M3 is faster than M1, but no so dramatic to upgrade for many people.

I don't know why Apple would do that, but it would be a good feature for some. Though I block my camera most of the time so it would not be something I would need. The FP sensor is great but mostly my watch unlocks my Macs.

The base M1 chip was already pretty good for 4k video editing (even on 8gb version in some cases), so yeah the M3 will be pretty good as long as you aren’t trying to edit RED RAW footage or something.

The thought I have is about the keys themselves getting soiled with finger oils. I also heard that Apple will request you to send the laptop into them for repair of the keyboard at least on past models with sticky keys and dead response. Apple seems broken with the basic necessities like smooth buttery typing experiences all the time but this is my experiences on the m1 iPad Pro as I have not purchased this MacBook Pro variant. Oils develop on a non-olephobic Magic Keyboard quickly. I am also constantly brushing away debris all the time and you definitely need a microfiber cloth.

Hello I am very interested in the M3 Pro Is there a problem with heating when processing video due to the fact that it has a single cooling fan unlike the MacBook Pro M2. I’d be plenty pi**ed if I’d spent that kind of money on Space Black just to get grey, I was actually considering getting the Pro version just for the black but no chance now I’ll probably swerve this and wait for the M3 Air as it will be quite a few years before decent gaming is worth buying a MBP for. Actually, I might wait and see what happens with Qualcomm’s Oryon chip in laptops, looks in most cases equal to Apple silicon in some cases better than. Apple’s chip reign didn’t last long.

Everything is superb except one thing most of companies trying to implement technologies to protect eyes with flicker free technologies but Apple actually doesnt mention anything at all. This display apparently has strong PWM which isnt really good at all.

Blender classroom scene was rendered by CPU. 10:36 - if you had RTX 4080/4090, you wouldn't see much better performance if you keep rendering it on Intel/AMD CPU. You need to swith rendering to GPU to compare M3's GPU with any RTX card. You obviously can compare M3 CPU to RTX card, but does it make sense?

i did some math and research and im 99% since i will buy base m3 macbook pro 14.2 to replace my m1 imac 24 inch with 16gb ram upg, while it works fine and i will lose big display size everything else is an upgrade especially considering the new pro can be as good as previous max chips idk if it is for base models but it should be performance burst, and considering apple releases each year new macs there is no point in waiting long terms(m3 pro(2500$) is half price of m3 max(5000$) in my area also m3 pro is same price as m3(2000$ upg model 2500%) so no difference) this time i will try base model and if i dislike something ill upg it again at m4 pro depending if i need extra size of better processor so far it should be an upgrade by atleast twice the performance and tehnology far better and if i really want a good displey i can allways get xdr apple display with 32 inch of size, right now imac gives me headache with how annoying it looks with white basels and light colour and also with spec out imac i stil struggle daily i managed to crash it even by running games, hopefully macbook pro does not dissapoint because the hype on macbooks pro is too high. even if it does dissapoint i entented to get macbook pro next time since i regret buying imac instead of macbook pro when i had the chance.

For a company it is 3 years typically, but Apple Supports them 5-7 years and years after that sometimes with security updates. They seems to last a very long time. In fact I don't have one that has ever failed.

My MB Pro 15 i7 is in its 8th year and still works great. It stopped getting Mac updates last year but that doesn't stop the machine from working. In fact, I still have my first MB Pro which is 14 years old. They have been very reliable.
